Home description

Ideally situated for both beach and golfing holidays, our top floor, beautifully furnished apartment has a large private solarium, ideal for sunbathing, barbecues and al fresco dining. Both bedrooms have ample storage space in the built in cupboards. The lounge / dining room has two large sofas, Satellite TV and Radio, including a variety of UK Freesat channels and a DVD / CD player as well as a Radio / CD / MP3 player. We have left a selection of DVDs and CDs for your use, but feel free to bring along your own favourites. The fitted kitchen / galleria has a ceramic hob with extractor fan, oven, microwave, fridge / freezer, washing machine, kettle, espresso coffee machine, filter coffee machine and toaster. The bathroom has a bath with shower, w.c., bidet and washbasin with illuminated mirror. The balcony has been glazed to allow for year round usage and overlooks the beautifully maintained communal area, including both landscaped pools.
It is within a short walking distance of a variety of bars, restaurants and supermarkets and within a 10 minute drive of four excellent golf courses (Villamartin, Campoamor, La Finca and Las Ramblas). There are also several Blue Flag beaches within a 10 minute drive and the nearest beach is only a stroll away. We are only a short drive away from Alicante and Murcia airports, both of which are serviced by budget airlines (Ryanair, Easyjet, Globespam etc).

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

The World Health Organisation has designated this area as one of the healthiest areas in the world to live. The sea air, salt lakes and an average of over 320 days of sunshine a year, combined with the famous Mediterranean diet of meat, fish, vegetables, fruit and perhaps the odd glass of wine, make this a great place to relax.

Within approximately an hours drive, you could visit the holiday resort of Benidorm with its famous Terra Mitica theme park, the beautiful city of Alicante, Europe's largest palm forest in Elche, the chocolate museum in Villajoyosa, the luxurious sports complex and golf courses at La Manga on the Mar Menor or the historic town of Cartagena.

There are many great Golf Courses nearby :-
Villamartin :- the most famous and has hosted the Mediterranean Open.
Campoamor :- reminiscent of Augusta in some ways and has an excellent restaurant and clubhouse.
Las Ramblas :- is full of natural beauty and is one of the most challenging in the area.
La Marquesa :- is a little less challenging than the others and serves excellent food at reasonable prices.
La Finca :- American style course which will host the Spanish Open.
La Manga :- 2 high standard golf courses.

Torrevieja area / Los Altos/Punta Prima area

Torrevieja is famous for its two saltwater lagoons which are the largest in Europe and have been designated as national parks, attracting more than 250 bird species including flamingos. It has a lovely palm lined, award winning promenade with many excellent bars and restaurants and one of the largest street markets in Spain where you can pick up a bargain or buy fruit and vegetables fresh from the farm. It is home to one of Spain's best yacht clubs, and the town provides first class facilities for all sporting enthusiasts with golf clubs, a flying club, a variety of water sports and the municipal stadium with an athletics track, sauna and covered tennis courts. Go Karting, Bowling and a Cinema are all available nearby.
Near the coast at Punta Prima and the town of Torrevieja, we are ideally situated to make the most of the many local Blue Flag beaches, golf courses and the extensive variety of bars and restaurants without having to travel too far. In fact there are dozens of restaurants (Spanish, Chinese, Indian, British, German, Italian and Scandinavian) within 15 minutes walk and many more within 30 minutes. Nearby, there is also a local bus with a regular service into Torrevieja as well as the National bus which runs from Alicante to Cartagena with several stops along the way.

How to get there

Easily accessible from both Alicante (45km, 35 mins drive) and Murcia (25 km, 20 mins drive) Airports. These airports are well serviced by scheduled, charter and budget airlines (Ryanair, Easyjet, Jet2, Monarch, Globespan, etc). Hire cars are available from these airports or we can arrange an airport pickup.

For your convenience, there is an iron, ironing board and clothes airer, as well as a cool bag for your trips to the beach. For the coffee lover, we have provided both a filter coffee machine and an espresso coffee machine. The bedrooms have ample storage in the fitted wardrobes and a hair dryer is also provided. Although towels are provided for use within the apartment, please bring your own towels for use at the beach or the pool. The air conditioning in the lounge and both bedrooms, provide heating on the few occasions it is required during the winter months. As well as security gates and shutters, an alarm and a safe are also provided.

Further details outdoors:
The solarium is furnished with sun loungers, table, chairs and a barbecue and offers views of both Torrevieja and La Manga. Two adult bikes are available in the Solarium lockroom for your use as are two beach chairs and parasols. There are two well maintained communal pools with tropical gardens.

For the benefit of other guests, this is a non smoking apartment, but you may smoke on the solarium.

Conditions

A non - refundable deposit of £50 a week is required to secure the booking. The balance is required 8 weeks prior to arrival, along with a breakages deposit of £50 which will be returned within 7 days upon satisfactory inspection of the apartment and the return of all keys. A local management charge of €50 is payable on arrival for linen, cleaning etc.
