This two bedroomed top floor apartment completed in Spring 2008 is situated in a quiet residential area and has an open aspect to the front (not overlooked). It forms part of the popular La Cinuelica, Los Altos development. It is situated about 10 minutes drive from the town and marina of Torrevieja. Local amenities are within walking distance, i.e. shops, supermarkets, restaurants etc and the nearest beach is at Punta Prima (about 25 minutes walk...or just minutes by car).
The apartment is fully air-conditioned (hot and cold). A staircase leads to the property with a gate door onto the balcony area which has a table and four folding chairs, ideal for al fresco dining or relaxing with a glass (or two!) of local sangria or beer. With the property being north west facing, it remains a cool area for dining and provides a lovely view of the setting sun each day. Once through the front door, you enter the living/dining room. Through the archway is the fully tiled and fitted kitchen with marble worktop. A door at the end of the kitchen leads to a laundry room with washing machine and hot water heater. The main bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom two single beds. The private roof solarium, with all day sunshine, is equipped with two sunloungers and two chairs. There is also a clothes dryer.

There is a communal pool, located to the rear of the property (you cannot see the pool from the property).
Parking is available on the quiet road in front of the property or in the secure underground car park.

Bed linen and 1 hand and 1 bath towel per person are provided. Please bring your own beach towels as the towels supplied are for inside use only. Beach towels are available at a modest extra cost, paid locally.
The apartment is suitable for families, couples, golfers.
Due to the spiral stairs leading up to the property and roof solarium it is not wheelchair friendly or suitable for people who find using stairs difficult.
Welcome grocery packs are available so if your flight arrives late, on a Sunday out of season or if you would like a cup of tea before setting off to do your shopping then we can provide items for your arrival.
The Costa Blanca/Valencia region
Sun, sea and sand are excellent reasons to visit the Costa Blanca, but its attractions don't stop there. Inland, you can explore magnificent natural parks, wild sierras, remote hill villages, historic towns, fascinating museums and fabulous architecture. Torrevieja is a substantial resort town with a lively seafront promenade, many restaurants, shops and bars and a huge modern marina offering sailing and other water sports. A large market is held in the town on Fridays. The town is edged by two vast salt lakes which are a designated nature reserve, attracting a variety of bird species, both migratory and resident, including pink flamingoes.
The Costa Blanca has a wonderful climate, averaging well over 300 days of sunshine a year. Spring and autumn find the area at its greenest and from May to August has almost guaranteed sunshine. It's an ideal location to escape long winters in the UK and northern Europe. It has some of Spain's best beaches, both popular and quiet, and many isolated coves and bays.
There are several supermarkets, including Mercedona, Carrefour, Consum, Eroski, Mas y Mas, Lidl and Aldi. Most are within walking distance and just 2 -3 minutes by car. They are normally open from 9.15 to 21.15 hrs, Monday to Saturday, but some also open on Sundays in the summer months.
There are numerous bars and restaurants within walking distance, including a variety of international restaurants - english (including fish bars and a carvery), spanish, german, chinese, italian and indian. There are further restaurants and shops at the commercial Via Park 3 (about 20 minutes walking - 3 minutes by car) including an atmospheric spanish restaurant - Plato Andaluz - with flamenco dancing and spanish guitarists two nights each week. In fact - something for everyone. A Subway sandwich bar is also situated at Via Park 3, together with an electrical store, an english clothing shop, a wok buffet, a hire centre and a petrol station.
Punta Prima, a further kilometre away, also has a good selection of restaurants and bars with one situated by the beach (Nautilus). Las Habaneras is a three story shopping complex situated about 8 -10 minutes drive away. Zara, C & A and H & M are just some of the stores occupying the centre. McDonald's and Burger King are close by. The Ozone complex with casino, ten pin bowling and restaurants is also about 10 minutes by car.
During the summer months (June to September) there is a huge water park at Torrevieja (Aquopolis) with the Pacha nightclub situated nearby. Horse riding at Campaomor and jet skiing off Campaomor beach are also available. A tennis centre can be found in Torrevieja.
Go-carting is situated close-by next to the N332 with carts for juniors and Honda models for adults requiring greater speed! There are markets every day in Costa Blanca. Two major ones are at Playa Flamenca on Saturdays (about a 20 minute walk) and, as previously mentioned, in Torrevieja on Fridays (probably the largest in the area).
There are two bus services an hour to Torrevieja and a local bus service to the beaches and to Cabo Roig.

"A truly relaxing holiday"
A lovely well equipped apartment. Comfortable - home from home, and english TV was a great plus .. We were very lucky with the weather, warm and sunny everyday. The pool was hardly used (maybe due to the time of year), therefore it was a peaceful place to enjoy the sunshine and read a book ot two. The supermarket is a short walk from the apartment and has everything you could possibly need. A 20 minute walk in the opposite direction took us to the bars and restaurants and then on to the beach area. A new shopping centre/mall has just opened in La Zenia, a 10-15 minute taxi ride away, if you fancy a shopping trip. Torrevieja is actually a few miles away from the apartment. We did take a taxi to Torrevieja harbour, which is a lovely place to either relax and enjoy the sunshine, or go for drinks or a meal, in one of the long line of restaurants which offer al fresco dining whilst looking out to sea, just absolutely wonderful. There are a selection of stalls selling their wares including some nice leather items if you fancy a shop-up or need to purchase some gifts to take home. Torrevieja was about 15-20 minutes in the taxi. All in all we had a lovely relaxing break. The taxi service we used for the transfers from Murcia to the apartment was fabulous (contact details were given to us from the apartment owner and we emailed them ourselves to make the arrangements direct) They also offered car rental if required.
The only downside to our trip was the absence of the keyholder upon our arrival. We called as soon as we landed but received no answer, and the message you get comes through in Spanish, so we weren't sure what the problem was!. We called a further couple of times whilst on route, but still no answer.. We then sent a text to the lady, and the taxi driver kindly called her on her own Spanish mobile, but, no answer... When we arrived we stood on the pavement with our luggage waiting, for about 15 minutes, then we called her again... this time she did answer her phone and was with us within minutes as she lives in the next block!
We would consider going back again, and would probably hire a car next time as there are many beaches to visit if you have the transport.
I'm pleased you both enjoyed your stay so much and thank you for completing such a thorough review. I'm sorry there was a delay in meeting the keyholder and I shall research what caused that delay.
