Home description

This a standard european apartment with all the usual facilities and mod cons that you would expect. Medium sized there are tiled floors throughout. We recomend you take slippers or flip flops as the tiles can be cold to touch! It is nice indoors & will provide you with a pleasnat stay. There is free WiFi access at a hotel 300 m away.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

Spain is known for it's great weather and Costa Blanca has the same eastern mediterranean weather as the Costa del Sol. That means lovely long warm winters! There are elements of Roman , moorish and of course more recent conquistador history. Don't expect the spanish inquisition!
For the modern holiday maker there are also extensive modern attractions such as golf, pony trekking etc.

Torrevieja area / La Mata area

Costa Blanca is a great altenative to the Costa del Sol as it features the only lagoon in Europe. Known as Mar Menor it is 20 mins away by car and features miles of beautiful beaches. It is shaped like a lake with only a small section open to the sea, one side of it is created by a natural land spit and features two sides. The lake side has a white sandy beach 15kms long whilst the Mediterranean side has a long yellow sandy beach. The lake side is never more the 7 metres deep and would generally have few waves and so is good for a wide range of surface watersports. On a daytrip there you could bathe in the lagoon side for a peaceful swim then bathe in the med side and explore the waves or the depths!

How to get there

There are extensive budget airlines operating routes to San Javier (Murcia) or Alicante then around 40 mins taxi ride, also extensive local buses and trains . Plenty of budget local car hire watch out for free local papers and magazines. Property is next door to a bus stop that will take you to a harbour town centre with all amenities including a submarine! Journey to the centre of town approx 15 min.

You will find a local beach within a few minutes walk to laze the days away or if you choose to explore the good sized town of Torrevieja a short bus ride south. We have left a selction of holiday accessories for you. Included are snorkelling eqpt, 'boogie' boards ( short surf board), beach umbrellas, inflatables, beach chairs & toys for the kids to play with at the beach. The apartment comes with plenty of towels, sheets, duvets,iron & ironing board.

The property boasts a great pool area so if you can't stretch to the 5 minute walk to the beach you can spend the day at home!

100 euros or 100 pounds deposit is payable upfront to reserve dates. The deposit will be refunded when keys are returned and the caretaker reports the flat is in good order.

Payment of the rest of the money for your chosen holiday dates reserved secures the keys. Keys can be sent to an address in the uk or picked up locally in spain at any time prior to holiday but we recommend 1 month

Towels, linen and apartment cleaning after rental is 60 euros (40 pounds). This money needs to be paid to the local caretaker/keyholder. He will also inspect the property and collect the keys.
