Home description
This beautiful apartment is based in Orihuela Costa, just a short drive from Torrevieja & other popular areas such as Villamartin & Playa Flamenca.
In addition to a balcony (great for eating alfresco!) the property has a large, private roof solarium that is perfect for sunbathing or having a BBQ in the evening, having seating and sun loungers to relax in the sunshine. You also have access to a communal swimming pool which is just behind the apartment.
There is a commercial centre a short walk away which has a selection of bars, restaurants, shops and a large Consum supermarket. There is a new children's play park close by.
If your preference is golf, several courses are located round the residential and can be reached in 10 minutes: Campoamor, Las Ramblas and Villamartin are perfect courses open all year round. Another golf course is planned to be built near to the apartment called Parquelagos Golf.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
The city of Torrevieja lies about 50 km south west of Alicante. You can reach Torrevieja via the road N 332, a wonderful road along the Costa Blanca. If you have some time discover the beauty of the area via this road - you will love it's views. Torrevieja marks a kind of language line between the traditional valencian/catalan in the north of the costa blanca and the spanish wide castellano spanish.
The entire area around Torrevieja and Orihuela is famous for their salt production. Huge salt lakes surround the road down from Alicante. It is impressive and fascinating every time I see the huge salt mountains producing annually more than half a million tons (it makes you respect your way you will use your salt and pepper next time). So if you visit the area of Torrevieja spend some time on your way to it.
The city get's its name from an old tower (old=vieja ; tower=torre), was first mentioned around 1800. It became famous in 1802, when it took over the salt administration from Orihuela. Apart of the salt industry, tourism and fishing keep the city alive. The harbor. surrounded by many Torrevieja hotels, gives home to 300 fishing ships and over 900 private sport boats. A wonderful view especially when sun sets.
Further in the south you will find more and more "spanish-only" speaking people, while the area of Torrevieja and upwards is usually more bilingual (valencian and spanish).
Torrevieja area / Los Altos, Torrevieja area
Within a 5-10 minute drive of the apartment you will reach the best beaches of Orihuela Costa: Punta Prima, Flamenca beach or La Zenia are some of them. Also, Guardamar beaches, with lovely dunes and pristine water for nautical sports.
The town of Torrevieja is a short drive and offers a wide range of leisure and amenities (sports centre, gymnasium, marina, diving schools, etc) as well as big supermarkets, medical centres, a wide range of restaurants with Mediterranean and international cuisine, bars, etc and a lively night life.

How to get there
Ryan Air/ Easy jet fly into Alicante/ Murcia from most UK airports.
We would recommend that you have your own car whilst renting this apartment .Whether you are flying into Alicante or Murcia, your car will be waiting for you when you land for the short journey to the apartment. Then simply reverse the process for the flight home. Fuel in Spain is considerably cheaper than in the UK so take advantage and explore as much of the Costa Blanca as you can. Getting about is remarkably straightforward to an easy-to-follow road network although in order to assist with this, in the apartment you will find extensive directions to some of the major attractions as well as essential amenities.

There are 2 bathrooms adjacent to the bedrooms & both have a WC/wash basin with one having a bath/shower, the other a shower unit - excellent for larger group sizes! The kitchen has all the facilities you would expect, whilst the living area has dining facilities as well as a TV - including English TV channels.
