About the home
The apartment consists of a beautifully furnished lounge/diner and a well equipped modern kitchen. The bathrooms are fully tiled with showers over the baths. All rooms have ceiling fans. Heaters are also provided for the cooler months. There are double and twin bedrooms that will sleep 4 people comfortably. There is also a pull-out sofa bed. Cot's can be hired out separately.
A private balcony with table and chairs is off from the lounge, with stairs leading to the large roof solarium also equipped with table and chairs, sun loungers and parasol. There is a choice of 2 communal swimming pools. The apartment is a 15 min drive from the superb Blue Flag beaches of Guardamar and La Marina also the popular resort of Torrevieja. The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
Entre Naranjos is an improving development to which a golf course is being added. It is centrally placed for Torrevieja as well as the large town of Orihuela and the cities of Murcia and Elche. Murcia has a splendid Cathedral and excellent shopping centre. Elche is famous for its thousands of palm trees.
There are street markets every day of the week. These are listed in the free English local newspapers. English style boot sales can be found in the winter months. A well established golf course is just 10 mins drive away at La Finca, Algorfa. We do recommend the use of a hired car. Driving in Spain is more relaxed than in the UK and competitive rates are best obtained via the internet or national newspapers.
The Torrevieja Area area
Local activities include: Horse riding, balloon flights, go-karting, boat trips.
Entre Naranjos is in a quiet location set amongst orange and lemon groves and we recommend you hire a car to take advantage of the beautiful surrounding countryside.
The lively town centre of Torrevieja is a 10 minute drive and is a popular holiday resort which attracts many different nationalities. There is a large harbour from which you can take boat trips, and at the other end of the town a sandy beach. Numerous bars and restaurants are dotted along the promonade and some offer a 'menu del dia' which is really good value.
There is a permanent street market in the town and a funfair near the harbour which is open all year round. Apart from the wide range of shops in Torrevieja itself, there is on the edge of the town, the 'Habaneras', a newly opened shopping centre with great shops and free parking. In the harbour there is an open-air theatre and two new theatres have recently been built, so there is always a good choice of entertainment in the evening.
Because Torrevieja is situated near to salt lakes it has the benefit of a particularly healthy microclimate whcih has been proven to help with asthma, arthritis etc.
