The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
Torrevieja is within a 15 minute drive and is surrounded by salt lakes which are home to a variety of wildlife including pink flamingos which are protected within the La Mata nature reserve. The town has a large marina, fun fair, promenande which is bustling from early evening with street artists and stalls, a harbour walk and abundant bars, shops and restaurants.
Going North Alicante is worth a look as are the many beaches and bays all along the Costa Blanca and of course Benidorm is only an hour away with it's vast selection of attractions including the Terra Mitica theme park, Mundomar sea life attraction and Aqualandia water park.
The resort lies just 40 mins drive from the beautiful cosmopolitan city of Murcia with its many restaurants, tapas bars, designer clothes shops, baroque cathedral and bull fighting ring and the largest shopping mall in Europe.
La Nueva Condomina, the largest shopping and leisure centre in the region of Murcia is located approximately 40 minutes away from Punta Prima and includes some 200 shops numerous bars and restaurants, a multiscreen cinema complex and a bowling alley or if you have children you may prefer to visit the new Terra Natura theme park where you can choose from the various water slides or leisurely walk around the animal park.
Alternatively you can travel to the city of Cartegena approximately 30 minutes away where you will find plenty of shops, Roman ruins and the marina with it´s bars and restaurants.
There are also a number of golf courses close by, Villa Martin, Las Ramblas, Campoamor and Polaris World to name but a few and not forgetting the championship courses of La Manga.
The San Javier airport is only a 25 minute car journey away and about 45 minutes from Alicante airport.
Torrevieja area / Punta Prima, Torrevieja area
To the North, Punta Prima borders the cosmopolitan town of Torrevieja, 3 kms away, and has a number of beaches of the Orihuela Coast to the South. The beaches are just a stroll away with walkways all along the coastal area adjoining other coves such as La Zenia.
The area of Punta Prima has many bars, restaurants, supermarkets and other local shops and amenities. Pitch and Putt, Golf, Fishing, Boating, Go Karting, Cycling, Walking are just a few of the things to do on your stay. Just 100 meters away from the apartment is the small local sandy beach next to the superb Nautilus Restaurant.
A five minute stroll away is the larger Punta Prima beach with its white sandy beach and further down the coast is the large La Zenia beach resort with full hotel and beaching amenities.
