You will also find a large selection of restaurants and bars, catering for all tastes and ages, approx 10-15 mins walk. Ideally situated for all the local Golf Courses and just 10 mins drive to the lovely seaside resort of Torrevieja with its Beautiful Marina, promenades, restaurants and whole range of facilities. The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
The Costa Blanca, or 'White Coast' is famous for its miles and miles of glorious beaches, ancient towns, stunning mountains and perfect 'all year round climate'. Be it a summer or winter break your looking for, the Costa Blanca has something for everyone. Just a short car journey along the N332 can uncover some stunning cities or quaint Spanish towns.
ALICANTE - the vibrant cosmopolitan main city of the Costa Blanca is well worth a visit for its historical buildings,wonderful harbour, excellent restaurants, shopping and famous nightlife.
MURCIA - the wonderful historical city of Murcia (dating back 800years) is worth seeing for its Baroque Cathedral, many museums and Almadi Palace + Castle of Monteaguo ( where the Arab influence can be well appreciated)
If its Beaches your interested in then the N332 runs all along the superb coast and it's worth exploring many of the local beaches, you are sure to uncover a gem! La Mata and Guardamar recommended. A little further afield the Beautiful Spanish seaside resorts of San Javier and Los Alcazares are truly worth a visit.
GOLF - every golfers dream! numerous courses challenging all levels of golf enthusiast. local courses just 10 mins drive with many more a little further drive away.
The Torrevieja Area / Playa Flamenca area
TORREVIEJA - beautiful seaside city, world famous for its salt lakes, which you will pass if travelling along the N332, watch out for the Flamingos and Storks.
Torrevieja boasts an array of interesting things to do and see,from the beautiful Church Square in the centre,take a stroll along the beautiful palm lined promenades, eat at one of the many sea front restaurants, visit the local tapas bars,pick up a bargain at one of the open air markets or simply admire the beautiful harbour. Easily accessible by car, bus or taxi, a Lovely Place to visit.
Playa Flamenca - just 6kms south of Torrevieja, Playa Flamenca has something to offer everyone for their ideal holiday.
Beaches- the nearest beaches are La Zenia and Playa Flamenca both a 10 min stroll, or 2 mins car drive. Cabo Roig and Campoamor are a little further (approx 5-10mins drive) but can be reached by a lovely coastal walk from La Zenia beach.Most have beach huts, during the summer months April-Oct, where you can obtain a lovely cool drink or pay a visit to the WC if required.
Further afield it is worth exploring the many coves and small sandy beaches which will lead you all the way down to the fabulous Mar Menor.
Golf - for Golf fanatics the area boasts some of the regions finest courses. The closest, Villamartin, being just 10 mins drive away. Las Ramblas and Campoamor are 15 mins away. La Finca, La Roda and the brand new Lo Romero are approx 20mins drive away.
Aquaparks/Go-carts - there are two Aquaparks, one in Torrevieja and the other in Quesada.Go-carting is avaiable at nearby Punta Prima
Markets- Torrevieja and its surrounding areas have daily markets varying in size. One literally being held every day of the week! The local famous Playa Flamenca Market is held on a Saturday from approx 8am- 2pm. It is within walking distance of the villa and you can purchase the freshest produce, fruit and veg, hams, bread etc. You will also find a huge range of other products ranging from leather goods and ceramics to lots of local produce. A must for any bargain hunter.
