The townhouse sleeps a maximum of 8 people and is on 3 levels and is south facing. It is conveniently located for bars, restaurants, supermarkets and is within walking distance of the large Saturday market. The first floor has a large air conditioned lounge which can seat 8 people, fitted kitchen, utility room and toilet. There is a large tiled terrace leading from the lounge with table/chairs and umbrella.
The second floor has 2 bedrooms (one with air conditioning, a double bed and balcony leading from it and one with bunk beds and a single bed). Both have ample fitted wardrobe space. There is a bathroom with double vanity unit and fitted shower.
The third floor has a double bed and single fold up bed. There is an en-suite toilet with shower cubicle. There is a further balcony leading from this floor
The property has a shared communal pool approximately 30 yards away.

Welcome packs which include water, tea, coffee, sugar, bread, butter, milk, cereal, preserves, eggs, bacon, wine, coke, orange juice and beer can be arranged at a cost of 20 euros (paid locally on arrival). This is recommended particularly if you are arriving late at night, on a Sunday or bank holiday when the shops are closed.

The Costa Blanca/Valencia region
Torrevieja, south of the Valencian Community on the Costa Blanca, is surrounded by two large natural saltwater
lagoons, which form the well-known Salterns of Torrevieja. It is an ideal location for a summer or winter sun holiday with an average of 320 days sunshine each year. It is said to be good for sufferers of arthritis, asthma and rheumatism. The area is regarded by the World Health Organisation as having the healthiest climate in Europe.
Just 30 minutes drive south of Alicante airport, it is situated on the coastline of the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean where the beaches carry the European Blue Flag ensuring pollution-free bathing.
Torrevieja isn’t a resort in the package holiday sense. There are only a few hotels and the area is much loved by the Spanish who flock here during the summer months for their holidays.
English is spoken as a second language so you will not find it a problem to communicate within the area.
There are many local attractions; golf courses within 15 minutes of the town centre, long sandy beaches and small coves, evening fun fair, go-karting, aqua park, boat trips from the marina. There is a harbour walkway which takes you out to sea and provides a great view of the Torrevieja coastline. The famous Terra Mitica theme park situated just outside of Benidorm is approximately 1 hours drive from the townhouse.
For those requiring a more relaxing stay, there are many bars, restaurants and seating areas where you can just sit and watch the sea gently roll in or people watch, and just let the days slip by.
The craft market can be found along the promenade, which comes alive from early evening and sells local arts, crafts, jewellery, leather goods, African carved art. Local artists sell fabulous scenic pictures, paint or draw your portrait or even do a caricature. Just behind the promenade you will find a permanent fun fair, great for the young and young at heart!!
Eating out is very reasonable. There is an abundance of Spanish, English, German, American and Chinese restaurants and bars. Every Friday Torrevieja holds one of the largest open-air markets in Spain and sells all kinds of food, textiles, clothes and accessories. The local market can be found at La Florida on a Saturday, and is very close to our townhouse. Street markets can be found every day of the week in different areas. New shopping mall (La Zenia Boulevard)is within 5 minutes drive. It is the largest shopping centre in the Alicante Province. The centre accommodates popular national, international and local brands such as the hypermarket Alcampo, which will also include a petrol station, Leroy Merlin, Decathlon, Norauto, Conforama, Casino del Mediterráneo, Tenpin Bowling, Primark, Inditex with Zara and their other trademarks, H&M, C&A, Deichmann, Guess, Geox, Swarovski, Punto Roma, Muerde la Pasta , Kiko, Druni, Marvimundo, Baby Center, and many others.
The town has a good shopping area with lots of independently owned shops selling a variety of goods. There is also a shopping mall (Habaneras) and large hypermarket (Carrefour). An indoor market is open daily where you can buy fresh produce; fish, meat, fruit and vegetables.
The beaches along the coastline are Playa Flamenca, La Zenia, Cabo Roig, and Campoamor. All of these beaches have been awarded a blue flag signifying safety and high quality.
