Torrevieja area / Punta Prima, Torrevieja area

5 minutes walk or 1km to Punta Prima beach. Along this part of the coastline, it is a mixture of sandy coves and rocky areas (ideal for rock pools). There is a wide promenade at Punta Prima which is currently being extended along the coastline. Past Punta Prima (few minutes drive) are the EU Blue Flag beaches of Playa Flamenca and La Zenia, with vast expanses of golden sands and there are jet-ski's, a banana boat and pedalo's in the summer months, as well as the usual "bars on the beach".

4 Championship golf courses within 10 minutes - green fees average £25 -£40 for 18 holes. 11 more within an hours drive. Open all year.

Magnificent Friday market - Torrevieja, Saturday market - Playa Flamenca. Fab Habernas shopping centre : H&M, C&A, Zara, Puma.

Punta Prima has a very multi-cultural feel as many people from other countries now live in this area and actually outnumber the Spaniards! We had a really lovely time, the apartment was very nice, everything you could need supplied, in a quiet but convenient location. We did find public transport very erratic but taxi's were very good with reasonably fares. Next time we will hire a car for independence. Peter was very helpful with tips on where to go, shopping and so on. We will book again later in the year or early 2010, if that is alright with you. I have also mention your property to some friends looking for something with a short flight time so they may be in touch."
