Home description
The house comprises on the ground floor: an air-conditionned lounge with satellite TV (28 channels, inc. all British and some Scandinavian channels), separate kitchen, cloakroom/wc. Secluded patio with dining tables/chairs and sun-loungers. First floor: Master bedroom with double bed, air-conditionning, ceiling fan, fitted wardrobe, balcony. Twin-bedded room, Air-condtionning, Wardrobe, two single beds. Bathroom with wash-basin, toilet, bath/shower. Second floor: roof terrace with sunbeds.
The house is well appointed with all creature comforts. The kitchen is ideal for longer stays and those who wish to do their own cooking. Good quality linen ensures comfort in the summer and blankets and quilts are available for winter stays. A welcome pack is supplied (free of charge): arrival snaks and first breakfast so you can arrive at any time of the day without worrying whether the grocery shops are open or not. If you are celebrating a birthday or anniversary, please let us know at the time of booking to organise a special welcome pack.

Ideal area for summer and winter holidays where the sun shines some 320 days a year. Clean beaches all along the coast yet fairly close to the hills and mountains.
Torrevieja area / El Chaparral area
Ideal location for a family holiday, Torrevieja has a healthy climate enriched by its two salt lakes particularly suitable for athmastic sufferers. Vast selection of restaurants offering most type of cuisines. Daily night market. Weekly open air markets. Plenty of activities available through the winter months for those in search of winter sun. El Chaparral has 6 restaurants (Belgian, British, German, Italian), several bars, newsagent, car hire, grocery and hardware stores, hairdresser - the area does not feel deserted in the winter month as many houses are owned by full-time residents. In the summer months, a small aquapark suitable for young children is less than 10 mns' walk from the house. Walks in the nature reserve around one of the salt lakes are just a few minutes away - this is a pleasant shortcut to La Mata beach. 5 golf courses are located within 10 mn's drive from the house. The nature reserve close to the house offers good sighting for bird-watching.
How to get there
Fly to Alicante or to Murcia Airports, then rent a car or take a taxi (we can recommend English-speaking drivers for your transfers). Many airlines fly two these destinations. Monarch, Easyjet, Ryan Air have the cheapest fares. For car hire, Record-Rent-a-Car offers the best deals particularly if you become a member. It is best to reserve a car via Internet and pay on arrival.

Further details indoors: The house is located within a secure complex with easy access to the communal swimming pool which is reserved for those staying in the complex. Restaurants, bars, newsagent, groceries and hardware stores are near by in walking distance. If you do not wish to rent a car, a local bus runs regularly (every 20-30 mns) to the town centre and hypermarket. Airport transfers at reasonable rates can be arranged with local English speaking drivers.
For children's entertainment, there is a small aquapark within walking distance and several larger aquaparks are within a few kms. For days outings, theme parks such as Terra Mitica and Mundomar are within one's hour drive away. Several beaches are easy access.
For adults, golf, fishing, birdwatching, walking are either walking distance or a short drive away.
Books, CDs, DVDs are available but only few children's DVDs, it is best to bring their favourites.

Very nice indeed, since we had to leave around 5 am, to catch our plane at 7 in Alicante. Dear Frank, The accommodation was spot on and we both felt that the pictures did not do your lovely home justice! It had absolutely everything we needed and the welcome pack of food was a god send as it saved us trying to find a supermarket at 2am! There were so many local amenities and shops and the local version of Asda (Mercadona) meant we could buy anything we wanted and not spend a fortune! We watched all the DVDs and chilled out with the air conditioning and sat out on the patio with the umbrella up and it was great. So peaceful and not noisy in the slightest.
