One great advantage of visiting this area is that everything is so easy to reach.
Your visit to the area can be as varied as you wish with beautiful sandy beaches, mountains, shopping malls, stunning natural marshes and ancient towns with fascinating history.
Torrevieja is surrounded by two large, natural saltwater lagoons which form the Salinas de Torrevieja which have been declared a Natural Park. If you are travelling from Alicante you will pass through an area of salt flats which have been declared an "Area of Special Importance for Bird Life". Look out for the Flamingos and black-winged storks.
Torrevieja area / Playa Flamenca area
BEACHES The nearest beaches of Punta Prima, Mar Azul, Playa Flamenca, La Zenia, Campoamor and Cabo Roig are just 5 minutes drive away. (Punta Prima beach is 15/20 mins walk away.) With many beautiful sandy beaches on this coast you can visit a different one each day of your holiday. To the south of Torrevieja low cliffs protect a continuous series of coves and small sandy beaches. To the north of the town there are miles of golden beaches backed by pine and palm clad dunes. The area has some of the best Blue Flag beaches and most have facilities such as Volleyball nets and play areas for children.
GOLF For golf fanatics the area boasts some of the finest golf courses on the Costa Blanca. The closest being Villamartin (just 10 minutes drive away), Campoamor and Las Ramblas all within a 10 - 15 minute drive away. La Finca golfcourse is aproximately a 20 minutes drive away.
AQUAPARKS There are two Aquaparks, one in Torrevieja and the other in Quesada.
MARKETS Torrevieja and its surrounding areas have daily markets varying in size. For the bargain hunters you can shop at a different market every day of the week. The local market in Playa Flamenca is held on a Saturday.

There is a sofabed, two armchairs, wall unit, dining table and chairs.
The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, fridge/ freezer, oven, hob, microwave, crockery and cutlery. All appliances and utensils are new. The laundry room houses the large capacity boiler, laundry sink and washing machine.
Also on the ground floor is a fully tiled shower room with walk-in shower, WC and washbasin.
The marble stairs lead from the lounge to the first floor where you will find the 2 main bedrooms and family bathroom. The master bedroom has air conditioning, a double bed, bedside tables with lamp, bedroom chair and a large wardrobe. The second bedroom has airconditioning, twin beds, bedside table and lamp, and large wardrobe. On the landing a door leads to a spacious sun terrace.
The fully tiled bathroom has a full size bath with overhead shower, WC, bidet and wash basin.
From the first floor landing the marble stairs continue to the second floor and an airconditioned room which is the third bedroom. Here there is a double bed, table and wardrobe.. Patio doors lead to the roof solarium.
Further details outdoors: There is a large garden with a patio table and six chairs for outside dining. The property also has 6 sunloungers plus 2 reclining sun chairs.
On the first floor level a door leads from the landing to a spacious terrace with lovely views of the surrounding area.
On the second floor, there are large patio doors that open directly on to a spacious roof terrace. Here you will have views of one of the communal pools. It is a perfect place to sunbathe and also has an outdoor shower, perfect for cooling off if the sun is too warm
