Ideal location for a budget family holiday. Smashing onsite swimming pool with children's area. Two minutes walk to supermarket, shops bars and restaurants. The lovely beach at Punta Prima is a 15 minute walk. Also nearby is an aquapark and the town of Torrevieja with long promenade and many restaurants, clubs and bars making this the ideal location for families and couples alike. Golfers have not been forgotten either with three Championship courses under a 15 minute drive at VillaMartin, Las Ramblas and Campoamor.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
Punta Prima where our villa is located is at the southern end of the Valencian community and is famous for the two huge saltwater lagoons which surround it. These "Salterns of Torrevieja" are the second biggest in the world and certainly the largest in Europe. The lagoons have been designated as national parks and are an impressive sight, attracting more than 250 bird species including flamingoes. The flats have been used for salt production since Roman times and still provide salt for export worldwide.
In Roman times this area was well known for its outstanding port. The remains of the "embarcadero romano" (Roman Docks) can still be seen near the ancient watch tower of La Mata.
Torrevieja which is 10 mins away used to be the home port of the largest fleet of sailing boats in the Mediterranean and still boasts one of Spain's best yacht clubs, with berths for 1,500 boats. In fact the town provides first class facilities for lovers of all sports - there are golf clubs, a flying club, a variety of water sports and the municipal stadium with an athletics track, sauna and covered courts for tennis and a variety of other sports.
Torrevieja area / Los Altos/Punta Prima area
For the children the primary attractions are the waterpark at Torrevieja a 10 minute drive away and the theme park Terra Mitica near Benidorm which is an hours drive but well worth the trip.
For the golfers there are three Championship courses ewithin 15 mins drive at Campoamor, LasxRamblas and VillaMartin,
Fiestas are held in the area most months of the year when tourists mingle with the locals to party in the streets in true Spanish-style.
Visit in August and you'll be able to enjoy the weeklong "Habaneras" festival - a major international music competition which attracts a live and television audience of hundreds of thousands of people. Las Habaneras are a celebration of the Latin American music and rhythms brought to Torrevieja in the 19th century through the port's salt-trading links with Cuba.
How to get there
Alicante and Murcia Airports are equidistant from Playa Golf Villas. Both airports areserved by many low cost airlines from the UK including EasyJet, RyanAir, Monarch, BMI and Jet2.

Further details indoors: Enter into the lounge diner with ample seating for 4 adults. There is a coffee table, tv and dvd player. To the rear is a dining table with seating for 4. Off the dining room is a fully fitted kitchen with utility area which houses the washing machine. Both bedrooms have fully fitted wardrobes with ample storage space and are well furnished. There is a tiled area for alfresco dining and basking in the many days of sunshine the Costa Blanca or "White coast" enjoys.
