Home description
This very attractiveand beautifully decorated and furnished ground floor apartment is only a ten minute walk from the nearest beach ( Punta Prima) and only ten minutes by car from the lively town of Torrevieja.
The apartment is on a fully secure complex with key access to a large relaxing pool which also has a children's pool surrounded by lush palm trees. There is also a pretty private garden area with a covered terrace with table and chairs which is perfect for alfresco dining! There are also sun-beds should you wish to relax by the pool and two bikes are available should you wish to explore the area.
Within a short drive there are three champion golf courses plus go-carting, an aqua park, tennis, horse riding and the very popular Saturday market which is held at the nearby Playa Flamenca.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
The property is on the Costa Blanca known as the 'white coast' due to the many miles of sandy white beaches. It is said to have one of the world's best climates due to the two natural salt lakes where you can see hundreds of species of birds especially pink flamingoes.
There are 4 main citiies within 1 hours drive of the property - Alicante with its promenade, Elche where they grow palm trees, Murcia which is famous for its gardens and Cartegena which was once a Roman settlement.
Torrevieja area / Los Altos, Torrevieja area
Los Altos is about ten mintues drive south from Torrevieja with its harbour, market and funfair. On the outskirts of Torrevieja there is also a new development with hypermarket (Carrefour), bowling, cinema, amusements and a beautiful new shopping centre called Habaneras.
Within ten mintues drive there are several blue flag beaches and the nearest cove has the Nautilaus restaurant where you can sit and enjoy drinks and watch the boats.
There are three champion golf courses in the local area (Villamartin, Campoamor and Las Ramblas). There is a Saturday market at the nearby Playa Flamenca plus Torrevieja has a market on Fridays just near the bus station.
Within a short walk from the property there are a wide range of supermarkets including Mercadona and Eroski plus another range of shops, banks and several very good restaurants plus a pharmacy. There is a new local centre which has recently opened including shops, bars and restaurants.
How to get there
The apartment is located just off the N332 and is 25 minutes from Murcia airport and 40 minutes from Alicante.
Airport pick-ups can be arranged as a car is not vital. This can be arraanged with the keyholder who charges 55 euros return from Murcia and 70 euros return from Alicante.
I usually check for flights on travelsupermaket.com who usually have the best value flights from Monarch. I have found them the most reliable and they fly to both Murcia and Alicante airport from major airports in the UK.

Further details indoors: The kitchen is very well equipped with fridge freezer, washing machine and microwave. There is a DVD player and flat screen TV with 20 channels in the lounge area. The 2 bathrooms have huge mirrors and there is a hairdryer available. There is air conditioning (hot/cold) in the lounge and main bedroom and a fan in the second bedroom.
Cots can be hired.
There is a laundry/cleaning charge of 50 Euros upon departure.

The rental price includes all bedlinen and towels (except beach towels) and a charge of 50 Euros is made for cleaning/laundry upon your departure. This should be paid directly to the key holder when the keys are handed back. There is also a £100.00 damages deposit which will be returned to you once the apartment has been checked after your departure.
Long term lets of one month or more are available between October 2009 - March 2010 at a cost of £500.00 per month including bills.
Guestbook for Punta Marina
Three friends and I stayed at this apartment in Punta Prima for a week. We couldn't fault the apartment as it was beautifully decorated, clean, included all amenties and made us feel very much at home. We made full use out of the shared pool which was very pleasant, clean and uncrowded. Aswell as this, we also enjoyed spending time in our private garden or on our terrace, which was brilliant allowing you to relax whilst reading a book, or have a few drinks and a BBQ with your friends in the evening. The apartment was located in the perfect place, quiet yet a very short walk to lovely bars, shops, delicious restuarants offering many different cuisines and cheap but good quality supermarkets allowing us to do our weekly shop. We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment, and I would recommend it to anyone as it was in the perfect location that allowed us to explore Torrevieja and Punta Prima without spending a lot of money on taxis (as bars, restaurants and beaches were only a short walk away)"
