Our apartment is on the 2nd floor of a new apartment block finished in March 2003 and sleeps up to 5. The apartment has two bedrooms (1 double and one twin), lounge with 2 settees leading onto sun terrace, American kitchen/diner, bathroom and utility room with washing facilities. A TV with English Channels. Large communal pool. Lift and ramp access to the building for wheelchair users.

There is ample parking on the roadside around the apartment, however, the underground car park must not be used.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region


The Costa Blanca or "white coast" is situated between the two other well-known areas of Costa Brava to the north and Costa Del Sol in the south, and is within the region of Valencia with the warm Mediterranean on its shores.
The Torrevieja Area / Playa Flamenca area
Our apartment is in Playa Flamenca, 5 minutes drive from Torrevieja and its many sandy beaches, coves, top class golf courses and is within walking distance to a choice of bars, restaurants and shops.
Torrevieja is located south of Alicante next to the crystal clear waters of Spain's Costa Blanca and surrounded by two large natural saltwater lakes. It is 47 km from Alicante, the provisional capital, and 35 km form the airport "El Altet".
This region of Spain has an average of 320 sunny days per year and excellent all year round temperatures. Together with the inexpensive flights to either one of its airports, Alicante or Murcia, this area of Spain is fast becoming Europe’s most popular golfing and beach holiday destination. The attractive sea front is a string of secluded inlets, beaches of golden sand, well-cared for residential districts and two quiet marinas. From the north to the south a lively inlet and an open beach, both with full facilities and a well-cared for promenade, are followed by a series of small inlets with clear waters ideal for diving.
The beaches are not the only attraction the area has to offer, as in addition there are three 18 hole Golf Courses (Real Club de Golf de Campoamor, Club de Golf Las Ramblas and Club de Golf Villamartin) within a radius of 3 km, all three are excellent golf courses of international prestige. There are numerous restaurants that provide cuisine for all tastes, from traditional Spanish Tapas to the delights of Italian, French, Chinese, Indian and Mexican food.
With its warm climate, friendly people and countless amenities Torrevieja makes the perfect location for a holiday.

We were met at the airport by Barry (transfers organised for us by the owners of the property), he was a star and took time out (at no extra cost) on the way back from the airport to show us around the area and was a wealth of knowledge. The apartment was spotlessly clean and a good size. The kitchen had all necessary utensils if you wanted to 'eat-in'. The beds were comfy and although this apartment doesn't have aircon there were large stand fans that kept us cool. There is a large balcony off the lounge (has Sky & DVD player) which was a great place to have breakfast on, and relax after an evening out and the balcony has the sun most of the day. The apartment block and pool area were again very clean and there is a life guard on duty by the pool. The apartment block was also quiet during the day/evening/night - maybe because some of the apartments are residential (Spanish/English/German - from the good mornings we got on the balcony). The apartment is only 5-10 minutes walk to the main square, where there is a large choice of restaurants and bars, some with live music, there is something for everyone and although lively it was not rowdy - Goodfellas is a great restaurant, but The Rose & Crown should be avoided at all costs! There were also street artists and a play area for kids. Just 3-5 minutes up the road from the apartment there is a convenience shop and a couple of bars/cafes which serve good lunch food. The beach is about a 15-20 minute walk depending on which you visit (there are some nice little cove beaches and not over busy) although we did find a short cut which cut the time down. With the amount of amenities nearby a car is not essential. So the question - would we come back to this apartment - YES most definately! |

We visited in July 11 found apartment in a good location shops, bars and restaurants all within walking distance, there was even a go karting centre and small fair which was great for the kids. Would visit again . |
