Casamarla is a Self-Catering 2 bed apartment in la Florida Costa Blanca that sleeps up to 4 people with access to a communal swimming pool. It is located in La Florida on the Orihuela Costa, 10 minutes south of Torrevieja town. The beautiful sandy beaches that the Costa Blanca is famous for are only 5 minutes drive away, the nearest being at Playa Flamenca and La Zenia. Tha apartment is conveniently situated just 40 minutes south of Alicante airport and 25 minutes north of Murcia airport, both of which are serviced by all the "Budget Airlines" such as easy jet and Ryan Air. The apartment is on the first floor with a large private roof terrace and a view of the Mediterranean sea in the distance. It is ideal for sunbathing and to watch the beautiful sunsets while sitting on the roof terrace with a glass of your favourite tipple! The apartment is very well equipped TV, DVD player, washing machine, cooker, hob, microwave and fridge freezer and all guests are provided with fresh linen and towels. There are numerous bars, shops and restaurants all within a few minutes walk from the apartment. In addition to the communal pool, just a short walk away is the Emerald Isle Bar/Restaurant which also has a large swimming pool situated in beautiful gardens. This place is ideal for families as in addition to the pool it also has a kiddies playground and evening entertainment. It is surrounded by a high hedge and with only one way in and out it makes it easy to keep track of the kids. It also has a bowling club and hosts tournaments throughout the year. For the golfers there are golf courses all around the area including Villa Martin which boasts 3 courses, Club de Golf Villamartin, Club de Golf Las Ramblas de Orihuela and Real Club de Golf Campoamor.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

The Costa Blanca is situated on the south east coast of mainland Spain and is renowned for it's sandy white beaches and warm all year long Mediterranean climate. Many people looking for a holiday in Torrevieja and nearby areas on the Costa Blanca in Spain are foregoing the usual package holiday arrangement and are now finding that they can do better by going independently which is why Torrevieja and the nearby areas are popular. There are no package tours in this area.
Torrevieja is a popular place for English-speaking people to take a holiday.

The beaches at Torrevieja include Playa los Locos, Playa del Cura, Playa Naufragos and Playa del Acequion, all along the coast of Torrevieja town.

There's also some more good beaches south of Torrevieja at La Florida Cabo Roig and La Zenia and if you go a few minutes north of Torrevieja, you'll find the excellent beaches of La Mata, (which is also called Torrelamata) and Guardamar del Segura, both also win the Blue flag awards every year for their cleanliness, safety and facilities etc.

Torrevieja is one of the fastest growing towns in Spain, but Torrevieja has not got the ugly high rise skyscrapers like Benidorm, or package holiday hotels, Torrevieja is an ideal place for family holidays.
Torrevieja is surrounded by two large and beautiful natural salt water lakes which form the "Salinas de Torrevieja" and are an official Spanish nature reserve. These lakes attract a wide variety of bird life.

The entire area around Torrevieja and Orihuela are famous for their salt production. Huge salt lakes surround the road down from Alicante airport to Torrevieja. There are two large natural saltwater lagoons, known as "las Salinas", the largest in Europe. The concentration of salt in these picturesque lagoons helps to draw the moisture out of the air. This, combined with the very low annual rainfall, creates the unique microclimate with low humidity. With most days being sunny, and with an average temp of 18 degrees centigrade, make this area ideal for sufferers of rheumatism, arthritis and asthma.

The city of Torrevieja which gets its name from an old tower (old=vieja ; tower=torre), was first mentioned around 1800. It became famous in 1802, when it took over the salt administration from Orihuela. Apart from the salt industry, tourism and fishing keep the city alive. The harbour gives home to 300 fishing ships and over 900 private sports boats. A wonderful view, especially when the sun sets.

The weather in Torrevieja makes it an ideal location for year round holiday activities - especially if you want to fulfil that yearning to get away during those dark, dreary winter months to the sunnier parts of Europe.

On average, Torrevieja enjoys 320 days of sunshine per year and an average daily temperature of 18°C. Temperatures in July and August are typically 30°C. Many people prefer the months April, May, June, September, October and November.

3 minutes walk from the apartment is the Wicklow Arms / Abbey, which normally stays open until 3 or 4 in the morning most of the year.
10 minutes walk from the apartment is the Consum, a large modern supermarket, also Via Park 3 commercial centre with 2 floors of bars and restaurants. Via Park 1, Via Park 2 are a 25 minute walk away. Flamenca Beach Commercial Centre with the Lansdowne bar, Rosie O'Grady's, the Blues Brothers, Divas Indian restaurant, Spud Murphies and 3 floors of bars and restaurants are also in the same area.

There is a market Saturday mornings near Playa Flamenca that is within walking distance.
For golfers its only a 10 minute drive to the golf courses of Villamartin, Campoamor and Las Ramblas

How to get there

Casamarla 1 is 25km from Murcia airport and 50km from Alicante airport.
Both airports are served by the budget airlines easyjet Ryanair and many more.
