Apartment Polonez is a 2-bedroom penthouse with a rare double terrace aspect - enabling all day sun (or shade!) if desired. Wonderful views onto Lago Jardin gardens, fountain, chapel and spectacularly neon-lit Monse hotel. Even the salt lake is visible. It has relatively new electricals (from 2011) - satellite TV (with many UK programs) fridge, washing machine, cooking plate, kettle and bedroom ceiling fans. As of 1 January 2014 we have new hi-security front door (addressing guest book comment below). Polonez is not a luxury nor a modern flat and some of the furniture, lighting, doors, cupboards are now quite dated - but fully functional and clean. We think it has character.

Hi Mark, We had a great time at Lago Jardin. The flat was ideal, it was clean on arrival, and had everything we needed. The access to the pool was great and being close to the hotel for meals was also good. We were also able to walk to the supermarket which was close by. The door to the flat and the lock probably need to be upgraded. We really did enjoy our holiday. Thank you.

The Valenciana region

Costa Blanca has been the first-choice destination for millions of holidaymakers seeking the hot Mediterranean climate and an improved quality of life. This region boasts beautiful sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and over 320 days of sunshine each year.

Costa Blanca is an incredibly rich region, full of orange/lemon groves, rocky / white beaches, world class golf courses, and fantastic Spanish cuisine - tapas bars, sangria, fresh sea food... The area is a paradise for water sports whether it be sailing, water skiing, windsurfing... The Mar Menor provides an inland option for all these activities!

Drive a few minutes inland and you can encounter mountains as well a typical Spanish dwellings with white building character.

Torrevieja Area

Torrevieja is a seaside town located on the Costa Blanca about 50 km south of Alicante, it is famous for its salt mining history (still active today) and is a fishing village as it is located between the sea and two large salt lakes (Las Salinas) which give the area a unique climate.

Lago Jardin boasts beautiful colourful landscaped gardens as well as a huge pool, tennis court and pool bar/restaurant where WiFi internet is available, all within 60 metres. A large Mercadona supermarket is 300m. distance and a variety of bars and restaurants are available 600m. away at the Filton centre.

Torrevieja has its own harbour and small fishing fleet as well as impressive marinas. A market offers a wide selection of fish, fruit, meat and vegetables throughout the year. There are beautiful fountains, plazas, historic churches and undiscovered side streets. An elevated promenade between the sea and the harbour has intrigued residents and visitors alike providing a fantastic walk with a direct sea view.

"Excellent value for money!"

We had a wonderful stay here. We were shown around the apartment on arrival and it was very clean and tidy. It is a stones throw to the pool bar and local shops and restaurants are in walking distance. The apartment is situated in a very nice spot on the complex.

We hire a car and visit other places in the area, like La Zenia beach which is approximately a 10 minute drive away.

Will definitely stay here again!

"Great location to stay as a family or couple"

This apartment is in a fantastic location (almost unique to the area from our experience with its lovely kept gardens and large communal pool facility) to take in some sun with or without kids, with fantastic communal pool facilities, excellent cheap bar / restaurant on-site, and lovely gardens and orsnge groves on the doorstep. The location is also in good proximity to Torrevieja town and beaches, both just a few minutes away by car or bus. Whilst not the most modern of apartments to be found we feel that this is reflected fairly in the price that is being charged with the apartment being very clean and equipped with all items and linen that was needed for our stay. We found both the owner and local agent very helpful, providing total peace of mind throughout. All in all a great value find and an apartment we will be looking to return to again.

The maintenance issues have been addressed and everything should be in fully working order again, as confirmed by the subsequent review. We do apologise for these problems but did rectify them as soon as possible.

"really very basic accommodation"

We Stayed in this apartment for eleven weeks really needs upgraded seating was two old conservatory chairs bedding consisted of one duvet cover for double bed and one for the two single beds no oven n… More

Oh dear...
-Our manager arranged for the guests' representative to personally inspect the flat before the guests decided to rent it, so everything should have been as expected
-She also arranged for brand new seating shortly after the complaint. This was gratefully accepted by the guests but strangely omitted from the review
-She also reacted to several call-outs from the guests - buying additional items e.g. clothes dryer and showing them, in person, how appliances worked
-the flat is equipped with a modern washing machine. Fabric e.g. the duvet typically needs 15 minutes to dry on the on the large terrace. We do have spare duvet covers of course. If the guests had asked, we would have advised them about that
-The chairs are indeed several years' old, as is the rest of the furniture/french doors/floor tiling, cupboards. But everything is fully functional and clean. Most appliances are less than 3 years old however - TV, DVD, washing machine, fridge, toaster, hi-security front door, hob and ceilng fans.
We will endeavour to acquire a freezer very soon - please check the flat description for latest inventory.
As a final remark, we can honestly say we tried our best to satisfy each and every request, including sending 22 helpful/informative emails and making several phone calls to Spain.
