Ideal location for a relaxing holiday in the sun, whether you simply want to lie on the beach or by the pool, play golf, or participate in nearby activities such as boat trips, waterparks, go-carting, horse riding, cycle hire, shops, bars and restaurants. Nearby water sports include jet-skiing, sailing, scubadiving, waterskiing, windsurfing, canoeing, snorkeling. This is also a popular area for fishing.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
The Southern Costa Blanca is a sunny area to the South East of Spain. In view of the good climate all year round and mediterranean diet it is regarded as a healthy place to live. Along the coast where the property is situated is quite flat, however if you travel a short distance inland or to the north or south, the mountains provide a scenic backdrop. The historic town of Orihuela is well worth a visit.
In the local area there are fiestas every month from October - February and from May - August.
Torrevieja area / Los Altos area
Torrevieja is an old Spanish town which whilst not purpose built for tourism, has a great range of activities for the holidaymaker. There are numerous bars and restaurants and a long promenade for joggers or those who enjoy a pleasant stroll any time of the day or evening. There is a night market selling gifts and souveniers. The town centre contains many shops including clothes, shoes and holiday gifts and momentos.
Torrevieja is 41 kms away from Alicante to the north, 23 kms from Elche to the northwest, and 53 kms from Murcia in the southeast. It has a protected Natural Park with two salt lakes, and 20 kms of coastline containing six large beaches and about 20 coves with an abundance of cliffs.
Los Altos is a residential area about 6 km outside of the Spanish town of Torrevieja. The nearest supermarket is 2 mins walk and sells most things that you are likely to need. Via Park 3 is a leisure area approx 10 minute walk, with an English shop, bars and restaurants. The Emerald Isle offers fitness classes. If you prefer Spanish bars and restaurants these are also approx 10 minute walk and there are banks and a doctor surgery in this area. There is an hourly bus service into Torrevieja or you can get a taxi from outside the nearby supermarket in high season.
Two great restaurants which you should visit: Nautilus, which has an outside seating area right by the sea, ideal for relaxing over your morning coffee or for watching the sun go down with a glass of wine. Puccini - an excellent Italian restaurant, with quality food in a friendly and relaxed environment.
How to get there
The bungalow is about 20 minutes drive from Murcia airport or 40 minutes drive from Alicante airport. Check Flybe, Ryanair, BMI Baby, Easyjet, Mytravellite, Thomsonfly and Monarch for cheap air flights. Either route is a relatively straightforward drive on one main road. Alternatively airport transfers can be arranged at additional cost, if required.

Further details indoors: This is a modern property with a clean and tastefully decorated interior. Inside is a comfortable and spacious open plan sitting room / dining area, fully fitted kitchen, storage room, bathroom with shower and bidet; 2 bedrooms, one double and one twin. A small supply of books and DVDs are provided. There is a folder containing information on local activities and places of interest. Beach towels are not provided.
Further details outdoors: Superb accommodation for the outside living that you associate with Spain! The entire roof is a sun terrace, providing space for sunbathing, barbecues etc. In front of the property is a patio area, an ideal place to read, enjoy outdoor dining or simply sit and enjoy a glass of wine! A patio table and chairs are provided along with 4 sun loungers.

Welcome pack provided on arrival English representative available who will answer any questions. A key deposit of 100 euros is required on arrival, which is returned at the end of your stay. Swimming pool is available from April - October.

A key deposit of 100 euros is payable on arrival at the property, this will be returned at the end of your stay, providing that the keys are returned and there are no breakages. There is also a cleaning charge of 55 euros payable locally.

"In September 2006, we spent a week at Helen's bungalow in Los Altos. Booking was very straightforward and we arranged for Darren (Helen's contact in Spain) to pick us up from Alicante. Despite our flight arriving late, we still received a warm welcome, which was followed by a very informative car journey to the bungalow.
The bungalow is in a quiet location, within a short walk to a large supermarket. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable, with a communal swimming pool just around the corner.
