About the home

Your luxury villa is located in a lovely peaceful urbanisation of Torrevieja, with lots of quality dining, and good bars near by. The villa is also close to the motorway network.

There is a water park only 5 minutes drive away as are many other large size supermarkets and other fast food restaurants including the popular Mcdonalds and Burger king. There is a wide choice of Golf courses and popular Blue flag beaches all within a 10 minute drive. The beautiful cosmopolitan main sea front in Torrevieja is a short 10 minute drive with its lovely bars, cafes and restaurants as well as the seasonal fairground.

A small car can be used to get you from A to B however this is only a small car which will only be suitable for up to 4-5 people.

Drivers must be over 25 years of age, a small deposit will also be required for the use of the car, which would be refundable upon a satisfactory check of the cars condition at the end of your vacation.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

Torrevieja is situated next to the sea in the south of the Valencian Community. It is surrounded by two large natural salt water lagoons that form the well-known "Salterns of Torrevieja", which are considered to be the biggest in Europe and second in the world. Alicante, the provincial capital is about 47 Kms away, and the international airports of El Altet and San Javier are about 35 Kms away.

In recent years Torrevieja has become a first-class tourist location, it boasts 360 days of sun a year and an average temperature of 18°C. There are many beautiful beaches, squares, walks, parks, gardens and other natural beauty spots (Ferriz), aswell as some wonderful historical monuments such as the "Modernist Casino" which dates from the begining of the century and has a famous hall in the mozarabic style; the "Recinto de las Eras de la Sal" an open, air theatre.

The Torrevieja Area / El Chaparral, Torrevieja area

El Chaparral is approximately 4klm from Torrevieja giving you the best of both worlds. All the lively activity on your doorstep yet peace and quiet in the villa itself. Torrevieja has several beautiful beaches and a long, wide promenade with many cafes and restaurants. A new harbour is nearing completion and a new pier taking you about a mile out to see has recently been opened.

Torrevieja is situated midway between the airports of Alicante and Murcia. One of the salt lakes can be viewed from the back of our Villa.

Torrevieja is surrounded by two large natural salt water lagoons. It is said to be good for sufferers of arthritis, asthma and rheumatism and the area is regarded by the World Health Organisation as having the healthiest climate in Europe.

Torrevieja with its beaches carrying the European Blue Flag has many local attractions including an aqua park (open summer months only), bowling alley, cinema, casino and sports complex. There are also many fine golf courses nearby including Villamartin and Las Ramblas. There is also an ever-expanding hypermarket complex a 15 minutes stroll away (or 5 minutes in the car) with Carrefour, Aldi, Lidl, MacDonalds and the new Haberneras shopping centre with its numerous shops.

Within 5 mins walk are several little bars and cafes including ubiquitous Chinese restaurants. In my experience they are all very reasonably priced compared to the UK.


There are many daily markets in the neighbouring towns, but Torrevieja has one of the largest in Spain, and takes over a large area on a Friday morning. If you enjoy local markets, this one cannot be missed. There is also a large one on Sunday mornings in a neighbouring town which is called "the English market" locally.

1) Fly to either Alicante or Murcia airports the villa is 30 - 40 minutes drive from either airport. Taxis are approximately 50 Euros for this journey which when split over a number of passengers is very cheap. (prices may vary slightly) these prices are correct as of May 2011.

2) Cheap flights available from most provincial airports and London to both Alicante and Murcia airports. e.g. bmi baby.com and easyjet.com and thomsonfly.com from Cardiff, Bristol, Stansted, East Midlands, Manchester, Liverpool, Heathrow etc.

3) Collection and delivery to and from the airport can be arranged. Your driver will have the villa keys and will let you into the property and show you around and answer any questions you may have.

“Great location, excellent facilities, quiet and relaxing.” This villa does exactly what it says on the tin,The owner was very helpful ,answered any questions I had and made it very easy to book, the security was paid back on time,great to deal with, facilities were great everything you would need for an enjoyable stay,there are a couple of great places to eat and drink a few minutes walk away,the pool is a good size,the property is ideally located for a trip to the famous salt lakes (about a mile away and well worth a visit,cover yourself in the mineral rich black mud let it dry in the sun and then"float"(literally) in the warm spa like waters of the lake) . supermarket and big shopping centres all are within easy reach.All in all we had a great holiday and it was definitely value for money .
