The beaches of La Mata are the most beautiful in the Alicante. The apartment is close to Natural Park with dunes and salt lake (The Salinas de La Mata).
In this town there is a very important U.K. and german people colonie.
The apartment has easy access to all amenities (around 300m from the apartment), including the local market every Wednesday, for bargain hunting, shops, bar, pub, bank, etc...and many excellent restaurants for eating out.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
La Mata is a village on the Costa Blanca between the towns of Guardamar del Segura and Torrevieja and is ideally located for those who want to explore the Costa Blanca coastline.
There are many sights to visit, including the island of Tabarca (frequented by scuba divers) which is accessible by ferry from Santa Pola and Torrevieja in summer, and the palm forest in Elche - the largest in Europe. The are many beaches, vineyards and the Salinas de La Mata salt lake, natural park and nature reserve.
The Torrevieja Area / La Mata area
La Mata village has all main services and shops; Weekly popular market too. The place is near important cities: Alicante, Elche, Benidorm, Murcia. The place is ideal to fishing, swimming, sailoring, play golf (Torrevieja-golf resort), walking in the beach -the apartment is closed to Natural Park with dunes and salt lake (The Salinas de La Mata, natural park and nature reserve -of which there are also views from the bedroom windows and sunroof). which is ideal for bird watching, walking and cycling. Water sports are available on the beach during the summer months and horse-riding is available locally.
There are many fine Spanish restaurants in the local village and other European tastes are also catered for by the Chinese, Italian, Basque and fast food restaurants. There are many other varieties of cuisine available a short drive or bus ride away in the nearby towns and villages. Spanish vineyards abound.
