The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
The White Coast - famous for its long stretches of sandy beaches. More recently known for the amount of Northern Europeans who have bought in the area over the last 20 years due to its very good all year round climate.
There are so many places of interest to visit along this coast. The historic cities of Murcia, Cartegena, Alicante and Elche are just a short drive away. Benidorm is aproximately 1 hour away.
Torrevieja area / La Mata area
Both La Mata & the nearby town of Guardamar are famous for their Spanish atmosphere with street markets on Wednesday and the big market on the "Campo" on Sundays. The beaches are blue flag which makes it very safe and healthy to be spending your holiday here. Try the snorkling and Scuba diving. The salt lake nature reserve is worth a visit. There are trails for walking, cycling and pony trekking as well as bird watching hides for viewing the fantastic array of wildlife. The visitor centre has information about the local area and all its inhabitants and you can access the remote controlled camera in the lakes centre to get a closer look at the birds. Fiestas in the area continue throughout the summer but the biggest and best tends to be the Moros y Christianas in August with processions lasting for over two hours and then parties continuing into the night.

The nearest airports are Alicante and Murcia. For cheap flights check out Flybe, Ryanair, Easyjet, Monach and air-berlin. We can arrange airport transfers or competitive car hire. We will supply detailed directions to your holiday home on request.

Further details outdoors: This typically Spanish town has a lot to offer if you dont want clubs and fish n chips. It is a quiet place throughout the year apart from Easter and July/August when the Spanish come for the coastal breeze from the big cities. At these times the area is buzzing with fiestas and fireworks. The bars and cafes are overflowing all day until the early hours. Even during the busy times though, there are quiet places to be found amongst the shady pine trees or the bird watchers hides around the salt lakes. La Mata is a fantastic place throughout the year to laze on the beaches or as a central point for visiting the area.
