This is one of the best kept secrets of the Jaen province. Imagine a quiet, hillside location with beautiful views, set amidst a small cherry orchard. Then dream about a lovely garden with a tinkling fountain, an attractive private pool (8x5 mts), many fruit trees - fig, walnut, pear and cherry - going along with colourful plants and flowers such as hibiscus, geraniums and roses. Isn't that what we are all looking for? To make things complete, you can enjoy your alfresco meals at the courtyard or at a terrace that overlooks the valley, a barbecue is provided.

Further details outdoors

The beautiful private pool and lovely gardens are the real eye-catchers of this family house. It's surrounded by a cherry orchard and situated at 5 kms from Torres, a pretty village that borders with the Sierra Mágina natural park. From one of its terraces you can enjoy glorious country views with mountain ranges as a backdrop.

The Andalucia region

The province of Jaén is the gateway to Andalusia, and is located to the northeast of the Autonomous Region of Andalusia, at the head of the Guadalquivir river, halfway between the Sierra Morena and the Bética ranges. It has an extension of 13,496.09 km2, and borders the province of Ciudad Real in the north, Cordoba in the west, Granada in the south and Albacete in the east.

he varied geography of the province of Jaén offers the beauty of its natural landscapes and the architecture and monuments in its villages and cities which keep alive the memory of a past of great splendour.

Large expanses of gentle landscapes with olive groves stretching to the horizon. And among the olives and the lush vegetation of its nature reserves you will find outstanding examples of Iberian art, churches, cathedrals, palaces and castles built in the Gothic, Renaissance or Baroque style. Jaén is a land of excellent olive oil, and offers a dreamlike landscape for anyone passing through the Despeñaperros ravine which leads to the south.

The geographic profile of the province of Jaén, in which flat areas of fertile countryside with gentle contours alternate with zones of ridges and craggy mountain ranges, offers a landscape of imposing natural beauty, in which olive groves occupy two thirds of the cultivable land.

In the mountain areas, with their rich and varied fauna, the typical Mediterranean vegetation can be seen in all its splendour.

Torres

This village is situated to the north east of the province, in the midst of the Sierra de Segura mountains. It rises next to the Torre Fuerte, in a very attractive mountain landscape, a combination of olive groves, cereal fields, orchards and patches of mountain. Within the village we can find monuments, such as the Church of Nuestra Señora de la Presentación, Torre Fuerte and the ruins of the Castle of la Yedra.

Its municipal district is included in the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas National Park, the largest protected natural space in Spain: an orographic labyrinth of valleys, calares, gorges, mountains and flat lands of enormous hydrological importance (due to the numerous rivers and streams which spring within the Park); of great botanical importance (different varieties of pine trees and a lot of endemic species); it is also important aesthetically and from a wildlife point of view. Because of this it is one of the most visited and frequented natural spaces in the country.
