About the home

Our apartment is located in the La Carihuela area of Torremolinos, a short taxi ride from Malaga airport and only 5 minutes' walk from the beach, restaurants and bars. Located nearby are Benalmadena Marina and Sea Life centre, Mijas, Fuengirola and Marbella.

La Carihuela has maintained its village atmosphere, with pedestrianised streets lined with shops, famous fish restaurants, cosy bars and bistros. The apartment is on the third floor with wonderful sea views and a balcony for outdoor dining. Perfect for families or couples.

This is a comfortable, well-appointed flat.The balcony has a patio table and four chairs suitable for outside dining. Cooking facilities are a two ring hob and a microwave cooker.The single beds are bunk beds suitable for adults or children and are located in the bedroom. Heating panel for winter letting.

Beach towels are not provided.

We need home address details in order to confirm the booking, along with a 20% non-refundable deposit.
The balance is payable up to 6 weeks prior to arrival.
All payments must be made directly either into our UK bank account for sterling or to our Spanish bank account in euros. Details to be confirmed at time of reservation.
Refundable loss or breakage deposit of 100 sterling or €120 required on arrival.

The Torremolinos / Carihuela area

La Carihuela has a safe sandy beach, promenade shops, restaurants and bars. The beach front has a number of beachside restaurants, cafe bars and play areas for children. Located nearby are Benalmadena Marina and Sea Life Centre, Mijas, Fuengirola and Marbella. Day trips to Granada, Sevilla, Ronda and Gibraltar are also possible. There are a number of local festivals and events going on throughout the year.

It is possible to drive from the UK via ferries to France or northern Spain and there is an excellent motorway network to southern Spain.
Most people will, however, choose to use a budget airline and most have routes direct to Malaga Airport. These will include Easyjet, Monarch, Ryanair, Thomson etc.
All the major car hire companies have offices at Malaga Airport including Avis and Helle Hollis.
A direct train service is available from the airport to Torremolinos.

“Nice apartment - great location” Plus - great central location in La Carihuela, 5 mins walk to beach and restaurants, local shops, sea view from the balcony, easy to find opposite hotel, nice walk to Torremolinos or Benalmadena, good for local buses, helpful owners made arrival/departure easy, excellent security and quiet at night. Minus - up a hill walk back from the beach, oven/grill not available to use, no air-con (not a problem in March but may be in the summer), very ltd TV channels

“Comfortable apartment in good location” This studio apartment was perfect for us for a weekend getaway and had everything we needed for a short break. The apartment is well situated just a short walk from La Carihuela beach but within easy reach of the more lively Torremolinos and Benalmadena. It is a very pleasant walk on the seafront promenade to either town. Also above the apartment is an attractive park with a boating lake, children´s playground and plenty of open space.

“Nice apartment but not ideal for people with walking problems” We stayed at this apartment located on the 3rd floor nearly 4 weeks ,the apartment is very well equipt for self catering .It consist of a small bedroom with bunk beds with no window and a very nice badroom with a brilliant shower and a lounge with a double bed that is used as a bedroom with 2 chairs and a small tv with patio doors to the balcony with nice seaview in the distance . The tv is not much use as it has only Spanish stations and could be improved with freeview to show some British tv as this is readily available in Spain . The apartment was clean and the owners are very nice to deal with. The apartment was approx. 8min. walk to the beach but took longer to go back as it is on an incline and i would not recommend this to people with mobility problems because of this.

“a great central place to stay ,easy reach of sea front and all bars and restaurants” a good central place to stay ,well maintained and clean ,easy to travel around from here by local cheap transport ,or just walk to the sea front with great bars and restaurants a charming area with plenty todo

“Realy fine apartment” Fine little apartment ,whit wonderfull wiev from the balcony. Well done, cosy ,whit full equipment .Walk 15 min to Torremolinos center ,5 min walk to park or beach ,whit cafe/restaurant. I have a realy good time for 10 days here, relax and walk in this quiet area. I realy like the apartment and the area, and will come back, whit my husbond. I have a little problems whit my knes, but it dosent matter whit this aparment, its only a little part of the road, its a littel bit steep. I have enjoyed the days here. “Spainish apartment” My husband and I stayed at this apartment and found it value for money we stayed for a week and the year previous my son of 15 was with us and we stayed for 3 weeks

“Excellent accommodation ideally situated” Ideally placed and well equipped. A quiet street so no noise at night. Taxi rank situated at bottom of location so easy transfer from airport. A lovely apartment, comfortable with everything you could need. A lovely welcome on arrival. Would certainly book again when we vist that resort again.

“holiday from hell” we were supposed to stay for a fortnight but only lasted 2 days,when we booked we told them my husband was a kidney dialysis patient and would be attending hospital 3 days a week,pic shows apartment as 3 high which it was but within a tower block,also says slight incline,but if you are not 100 per cent it is like a mountain.There is a steep hill to beach and shops which wasnt mentioned when we booked,we phoned the couple and told them we would have to leave as it was putting a strain on us and we were not sleeping ,we were told to hire a car(nowhere to park it,or hire a scooter) we paid £590.00 for 2 days holiday from hell,a nurse managed to get us another flat in a central location which we had to pay again for,we are pensioners and i think we are due some compensation as flat is falsely advertised,there are no shops,bars or resturaunts near only sex clubs propert not suited as a holiday let for anyone over 30 yet they knew we were 65 ??????? Response: GIVE US A REFUND OR WE WILL GIVE YOU A BAD REVEIW. When asked these guests said they liked the apartment and the area but with the gentleman's fear of lifts,and restricted mobility after treatment, both of which we had not been informed about, that they had made a mistake in booking our apartment and subsequently demanded a refund some time after their return to the UK.We could not be expected to make any judgements on the health of these guests when the booking was made. Furthermore many of our guests have been well over 65yrs of age and have been very happy in the location.The guests were fully aware that the apartment is 0.4km up a hill from the sea front shops and bars, although some small convenience shops are located nearby, and that the location is unsuitable for people with restricted mobility. At no point did we advise these guests to hire a car but we gave them full information on local transport which leaves from the bus stop approx 50 metres away from the apartment and there is also a taxi rank by the apartment and also near the beach. Anyone who has visited La Carihuela and the area around our apartment will know that it is a resort suitable for families and couples and therefore know how false these guest comments are.These guests obviously did not look properly at our advert or the additional information on our booking form.Reveiws from other guests who stayed in the apartment prior to the recent link up with Tripadvisor may be read on our advert.
