The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
Costa Del Sol, also referred to as Costa Del Golf boasts more Golf Courses than any other area in Spain. With car hire, the nearby beautiful Ardeles Lakes are definitely worth visiting. The Malaga area is surrounded by old towns, beautiful countryside, olive groves and and is saturated in sunshine 300 plus days of the year. The mountains of Sierra Nevada are 1 1/2 hour drive away where between November to April you can enjoy both skiing and sunshine.
Torremolinos / Carihuela area
The old traditional Andalusian villages of Benalmadena and Mijas are both only a short drive away with cobbled streets, donkey rides, and many bars and Restaurants. Fuengirola Zoo is a short train,bus ride away, along with 2 Waterparks. Local Street markets are very popular not only with the tourists but the locals also!! Thursday morning is the main market in this area, and is situated close to palacio de congresso, 15 minutes uphill from Torremolinos. The award winning Puerto Marina is 10 minutes walk away, featuring Dolphin trips and many restaurants, bars and shops. The apartment is only 15 minutes drive from Malaga airport and ideally located for a family holiday
