The Balearic Islands region
Menorca is a beautiful island, probably the most family-friendly of the Balearics. It has more beaches than the rest of the Balearics put together and the majority of these are gently sloping, with shallow waters for the kids to play in. When you can bear to tear yourself away from the pool or the beach there are also plenty of places that are worth a visit. The capital, Mahon, has plenty of shops, bars and restaurants and also boasts the world's second largest natural harbour. Take a trip on a glass-bottomed boat or just while away an afternoon watching the (very) expensive yachts come and go. Menorca's former capital, Ciutadella, is also a trip worth making, along with Monte Toro, the aqua parks and much much more.
Torre Soli Nou
As well as being ideally located to explore the rest of the island, Son Bou has the longest beach in Menorca. With almost 3km of pale golden sand and facilities from beach bars to water-skiing, banana boating and wind-surfing, it is a sunbather's dream. The resort has a variety of shops, bars and restaurants and also a newly built bowling alley. Above the west-end of the beach is Club San Jaime which is home to Menorca's maze - the children find this great fun, especially the themed nights!

"A special villa in a wonderful location."
My wife and I have rented villas all over the Spanish mainland, Portugal and most of the Canaries.
Each time we have come back home we felt the villas lacked "something".
This was not the case with El Sueno, everything we look for in a villa was provided, privacy, views, space, a very special heated pool and above all great value for money.
It is not often we find a home from home faciilty, but this was as good as it can get.
Great communications from the owner all added to the holiday we hoped for.
We will be returning next year, something we have not done before in all our holiday ventures.
Thanks to Alison and Martin we have very fond memories of a wonderful week.
Rod and Yvonne Davis.

"Heaven on Earth"
This place is simply great. New, clean and well-kept. All amenities available. Large bedrooms and comfortable beds. A beautiful, clean infinity pool and a heavenly terrace with views to die for. Menorca is indeed an extremely beautiful island - this terrace sums it all up.
The house was close enough to the bars and the disco of San Jaime for our young people to walk down for a night out a couple of times. Nightlife is not a strong suit of San Jaime, but nobody missed it. Instead, we enjoyed many evenings eating lovely tapas meals, drinking rosado, talking, reading and playing games at the pretty upstairs terrace. Also, we can highly recommend starting the day with a morning swim in the sea, followed by a cortado at the beach bar! The Son Bou beach is fabulous.
We've rented accommodation in Son Bou several times, and this was by far the best. Owner Alison is extremely helpful and service-minded. Thank you Alison and Martyn. :-)
