Home description
Willow House is fitted out to an extremely high standard, 4 Star British Tourist Board rated, having beautiful furnishings to make your stay luxurious and very comfortable. A superior detached large property sleeping 8 + cot very comfortably. 4 good sized bedrooms, 2 with double beds, 1 with en-suite, 1 with twin single beds and 1 with bunk beds. Family bathroom, downstairs cloaks. Kitchen/breakfast room with patio doors which lead onto an outside patio with a pretty striped sun awning, this overlooks the fully stocked Koi pond with a waterfall housing large tame koi. This area is totally safe for children, a pretty wrought iron fence surrounds this feature. (see photo)
Separate dining room, large lounge with surround sound flat screen TV and sky television. The dining room leads into the conservatory, overlooking the large pretty decked garden with lovely views over Abbotskerswell and the Devon countryside. The House is equipped with, dishwasher, large range cooker, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, 3 fridges, 2 of which are accessed from the decking for outside entertaining. The garden has a substantial decked area housing patio furniture, swing seat, barbecue, patio heater. Access to fridges from deck, all this enabling you to relax and sit outside, whilst enjoying those balmy warm evenings admiring the view with a glass of wine or two!

The West Country / Devon region
Devon is an area of outstanding beauty, Abbotskerswell is on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park, within a 15 minute drive you are in Dartmoor national park with the deer and free roaming ponies. The house is very close to the sea, the nearest beach 10 minutes away.The area is full of pretty villages with Thatched roof cottages, and narrow lanes that are indicative to that area alone. Tall flowering hedgrows of sweet smelling flowers tower above your head as you go on one of the many walks surrounding the villages.
It reaches temperatures of up to 100deg from May onwards, the devonshire folk are so friendly and welcoming, you will not be disapointed in niether the house or the area, that is a promise!!

The house has a mushroom basket in the entrance full of leaflets, attractions, etc things to do places to go. For all your barbi needs Fermoys garden centre + much more, Fermoys is a 5 minute drive from the village, it has a fantastic butchers, deli counter, fresh food section, beer, wine, It even has a cafe for breakfasts, and a bird of prey centre.
Abbotskerswell village also has an extensive children's playground, a 5 minutes walk down the road from the house in the centre.
How to get there
On entering Newton Abbot follow the road through to the traffic lights, turn left onto the A381 signposted Totness, stay on this road for 1 mile, you come to Ogwell roundabout with church on the left, (2nd exit) straight accross still signposted Totness. Past the sign for Hedgehog farm and hospital, up the hill (not too steep!) Come out on to the flat, take the next left signposted Abbotskerswell. Drop down into the village signposted Odle Hill this turns into Slade lane, past the sign for village hall, past thatched roof cottages and Abbotskerswell primary school up above on the left. Mini roundabout Thatched cottages infront of you, Model stores to the right, turn first left at the mini roundabout, past the first right (Vicarige Road) next right into Manor Gardens. Follow road round to 8th house on the left, Willow House. Congratulations you have made it! "Happy holidays"

Further details indoors: Willow House is in a peaceful setting overlooking the Thatches in the village and the lovely rolling hills above. Abbotskerswell the village is very picturesque with lots of old charm Thatched roof cottages, even Court Farm Inn your local overlooks Thatched cottages from its pretty beer garden. The other pub in the village is called The Butchers arms, both these pubs serve good food and hand pulled ale. The village houses a post office and local store (open late). Abbotskerswell is midway between the south Devon coast & Dartmoor National Park, an area of outstanding beauty. It is very close to the market town of Newton Abbot and a cattle market is run every Wednesday. 7 miles from Torbay and historic Totness, with the river meandering through and its many quaint shops. The County town of Exeter with its beautiful cathedral is 18 miles away. Abbotskerswell has the advantage of being very near the sea, Torquay, Paignton, Teignmouth, Dawlish, Shaldon, Blackpool Sands, (a blue flag beach) are all within a short driving distance. Take a boat trip down the River dart from Totness to Dartmouth past Agatha Christies home, Dartmouth boasting a very picturesque harbour on the edge of the river, with pretty little streets and many quaint shops a lovely church resides above the splendour of it all. Sit on the harbour at of the many pretty cafes/bars watching the sailing boats come in and out, basking in the lovely warm sunshine and high temperatures in summer. For sailers and waterskiiers, Combenteignhead, Combesellers Yachting and Waterski club, free public launch jetty and boat storage, very reasonable mooring rates, all within a large fresh water estuary on the river Teign, this is a 4 mile drive from Willow House. For Golfers, the house is surrounded with great golf clubs, for those of you that like a tan there are some fantastic beaches, sunbathing & sand castle building for the kids, surfing and sailing area. Your holiday needs are all catered for at Willow House summer or winter. Why not book for christmas, the village is so pretty and festive with the christmas tree and carols. Great shopping in Exeter for those christmas presents, the towns and villages are so pretty with all the festivities, Totness is highly decorated with all its christmas shops and christmas trees, dont under estimate the sheer prettiness of Devon at christmas, it is a little piece of magic all on its own, all local pubs selling hot mulled wine!

Capacity: Can accommodate large group bookings, friends or family View its sister property, 5 Minutes drive down the road in the neighbouring village of Ipplepen, also sleeping 8 + cot. The Penthouse is fitted out to the same high luxurious standard as Willow House. In total being able to accommodate sleeping up to16 + 2 cots. Discount available for group bookings!
Further details outdoors: Large decked area for sitting out and sunbathing, lights all set into the decking for sitting out until late, listen to the sound of the waterfall as you relax on the decking with a glass of wine whilst enjoying ambience of it all.

Conditions
A £100 deposit per week is required when booking Willow House, the balance payable 8 weeks prior to your holiday, along with the balance a £125 breakages/damages deposit is required, this will be sent back to you within 7 working days after your holiday. PLEASE NOTE: This is a strict condition upon booking, The koi will be fed by an automatic feeder, this will be filled by the gardener, Please Do Not Feed The Fish!! We are sure you will enjoy watching and get great pleasure out of the Koi, BUT PLEASE DO NOT FEED!
