About the home

This recently refurbished, modern, holiday apartment in a Victorian villa is fully equipped for self-catering for one to four people. It is set back from the road in quiet grounds, only 250 metres from Torquay's attractive harbourside and town centre, with its many shops, restaurants and continental cafes.

Park up your car and explore Torquay on foot with no parking worries. There are three beaches within walking distance including the main Torquay beach and beautiful Meadfoot Beach, which holds a Blue Flag award.

Apartment 8 has two bedrooms and will sleep 2 - 5 persons. It has been rated Four Stars by Visit Britain, for high standards in quality, comfort, space, facilities and cleanliness. It also has a living room with sofa-bed, kitchen and bathroom. It is ideal accommodation for 1 or 2 couples or a family.

There is a launderette and patio with tables and chairs for guests' use. WiFi and free parking available.

The West Country / Devon region

The English Riviera may be most famous for its award winning beaches and exotic palm trees, but it has much more to offer than just seaside holidays. The English Riviera has more attractions than any other resort in the UK and is also a Global Geopark. There is a great selection of boat trips and tasty local food and fresh fish to enjoy.

There is stunning scenery to be seen on the beautiful coastal paths and a visit to Dartmoor is a must with its charming ponies and beautiful villages. The climate is mild, kept so by the Gulf Stream. As the bay is shaped like a horseshoe facing southeast, it forms a perfect suntrap. Dartmoor, to the north west, brings protection from the prevailing winds, and the Gulf Stream brings warmer waters into the bay, resulting in a climate that is much milder than that experienced by most UK coastal resorts. Winters are mild and short, while spring and summer often extend far beyond the UK norm.

The Torquay / Torquay Harbour area

The Harbour and Marina - a 2 minute walk - less than 250 metres away, including the amazing attraction— Living Coasts Marine Aviary.

Within a few minutes you can walk to numerous restaurants. Try a different one every night, including the Michelin starred ‘The Elephant’, 'The Hole in the Wall’s pub grub, & 'No 7', an award winning fish restaurant. Try cuisines from many countries including France, Mexico, India, Italy, Morocco, America and Greece! If you prefer fast food there is 'Pizza Express', 'Pizza Hut', 'Burger King', 'McDonald’s' and a Weatherspoon pub. By Living Coasts there is a family pub/restaurant with soft play area.

Princess Theatre - 5 minute walk, featuring hit West End shows such as 'Grease', 'Chicago' and 'Joseph'.
Central Cinema - 10 minute walk
Rainbow Funhouse - 1 minute walk - exciting, all-weather, indoor play area suitable for toddlers to adults. Only 50 metres away.

Take the A380 from Exeter to Newton Abbot and Torquay. Follow the road to Torquay from Newton Abbot at the end of the dual carriageway.

Once in Torquay, follow the signs to the Seafront and Harbour. At the clock tower on the Harbour, turn left up the hill to follow the sign to Meadfoot.

Almost immediately, about 50 metres up the road from the clocktower, turn right at the traffic lights signposted for Meadfoot Beach.

Immediately, Meadfoot Road is ahead of you. The Beulah is a little way up, on the right-hand side, post code TQ1 2JP.
