Manderley Apartment is a superb 2/3 bedroom first floor apartment situated in a lovely leafy and quiet location in the very popular Chelston area of Torquay. The very convenient location of the apartment means that the choice of beaches at Torre Abbey, Corbyn Head and Livermead are all only a short stroll away as is the Yacht Marina, harbourside and Torquay's main shopping centre. The accommodation is a very recent quality conversion of a Victorian Villa and has been decorated and fitted to an excellent standard and specification. The large rooms and high ceilings provide a very spacious and light apartment ideal for a family or couples looking for quality holiday accommodation. Outside a very large private furnished decked terrace area is available for visitors use and is easily accessed from the lounge, this is a particularly pleasant area for guests to sit outside and relax in the sunshine. All of the attractions of Torbay and the surrounding South Devon coast and countryside are easily accessed from Manderley by either car or the regular bus services which run along the main seafront area which is only 5 minutes away on foot. The apartment now has free Wi~fi included

In the town there are numerous waterfront cafes and restaurants for you to sit and laze around in. Or alternatively, there are activities in abundance. From Water sports to fishing, Torquay can satisfy any persons needs.

"Stunning flat, with all possible mod-cons - we loved it!"

We travelled with 4 adults and two children aged 8 and 4. Mandereley was perfect for us all.
Tastefully decorated, two bathrooms, all possible mod-cons, super rooftop patio and within 5 minutes of the beach. Great place - really made our holiday

"Outstanding property"

We stayed with my sister and her family at this property in June. We were amazed when we walked through the door everything was spotless, the interior was amasing better than anything we have stayed in before. We did not need anything apart from our own food, it was certainly a home from home and a bit more, especially with the lovely terrace where you could sit out on an evening if the weather was fine. It was close by to everything so no car is necessary a train is a 2 minute walk away.

The owners should be proud of this property I would highly reccommend to stay here as I am not easily pleased but this place did more.

"Manderley is simply amazing"

From our time of arrival till we left the whole experience was simply fantastic. Even the fantastic pictures do not do the apartment justice. The interior could have come from a interior design magazine and the sun deck is fantastic. It is situated close enough to the centre and beach to walk if you are ok with a small hill. We did not want to leave and will not hesitate to return again and again. This is not your usual holiday rental it is a different class!!!

"Very dirty"

When we arrived we found the apartment very dirty, the wooden floors were filthy, there were crumbs on the kitchen surfaces and the bathrooms hadn't been cleaned. SW Cottages were not interested … More

We are naturally very disappointed if a client is not entirely satisfied with a visit to Manderley, but we feel we must stress that in total contradiction to the comments made the caretakers and ourselves were in touch during the visit and also again after by email.
Additional cleaning was offered and compensation by way of a discount against another visit offered, but this has been declined. The High Chair non-delivery was a genuine error but was rectified as soon as possible and by way of an apology all hire costs was totally refunded, however the chair was not dirty.
We note that the very obvious positive aspects of this lovely apartment were still noted which other visitors have also highlighted, we ask other readers to look at all of the opinions which have been offered to make a balanced judgement.
