The Villa is inserted inside of resort "Vale Manso" and enjoys of a wharf of knotting for boats, or water motions. Ideal for aquatic sports or for the ones who loves the nature.

Close to the towns of Tomar, Abrantes, Ferreira do Zêzere and Sardoal, the dam in the River Zêzere has created an artificial lake. The Castelo de Bode reservoir stretches over 60 kilometres amidst valleys, mountains and pine forests.

The reservoir provides excellent conditions for water sports enthusiasts, and for those who simply enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. The stretch of river between the Castelo do Bode Dam, (one of Portugal's largest reservoirs), and Constância (where Luís de Camões, author of the Lusíadas, lived), is excellent for canoeing. Without any major obstacles, the river takes you through a landscape of woods, orchards and wildlife, including otters, the herons and storks.

Close to the coastline, the Zêzere and Tagus rivers have their confluence.Continue on to Vila Nova da Barquinha to see the fantastic Almourol Castle. This small, fortified river island seems plucked from a film. Draw the canoe up and have a closer look.

Return to Constância and lose yourself in its charming streets. Known as the "Poem Town", Constância demands an extended visit.

Tomar is a beautiful town situated in the Central region of the Country, in the lovely river Nabão margins, and is one of the historic towns of Portugal, with so much to tell and see.

This is a region occupied by men since remote times, as one can observe in the lovely Nabão valley, where lay archaeological vestiges that date back from the Palaeolithic Period. The most renowned Festivity in Tomar is the well known “Festa dos Tabuleiros”. This is a very important festival that takes place every four years in June and July.

The Costa de Prata/Silver Coast/Central Portugal region

Located directly north of Lisbon is Costa De Prata. Known for its vineyards and expanding commerce, it's a popular vacation destination. The fishing village of Nazare, the sandy beaches along the Pinhal de Leiria forest, the charming old town of Leiria and Tomar which is only one hour drive from Lisbon, are just a few of the highlights in this region of Portugal. Renting a villa in this area is perfect for discovering this rich and diverse region of Portugal.

The Costa de Prata includes the region of Estremadura, Ribatejo and Beiras. Estremadura is an area of rolling hills and sandy beaches. You will find there the finest medieval monasteries of Portugal. Fatima is a famous pilgrimage site for people from all over the world. The Beiras region stretches from the Spanish border to the sea. It lies between the cool green north, that includes Porto city, and the parched south.

Discover the history of the Knights Templar, and relax by Portugal's largest artificial lake near the Castelo de Bode dam.

In the middle of the lake, you'll find an island – Ilha do Lombo - with a comfortable country inn where you can enjoy a relaxing stay. The artistic and cultural wealth of Tomar make it an enchanting city. One of the finest sights in the city is the Cristo Convent. But there is natural beauty too in such places as the River Nabão, the Mata dos Sete Montes (Sete Montes Forest) and Mouchão Park.

The Cristo Convent is one of the greatest works in the history of Portuguese art and has received World Heritage status. It was originally the seat of the Knights Templar, which in Portugal was later transformed into the Ordem de Cristo. Infante D. Henrique, adviser on the Portuguese Discoveries, was governor of the Ordem de Cristo. And the Convent was rebuilt by King D. Manuel I, who gave it all its architectural grandeur.

Near the Convent, visit the romantic Mata dos Sete Montes. It's ideal for a relaxed walk, as is Mouchão Park. The gardens of this park, cool and picturesque, are located in the centre of town, near the banks of the River Nabão. However, there is much else to see, not least the Gothic churches of Santa Maria do Olival and São João Baptista.

Not far from town is an equally beautiful place – the Castelo de Bode reservoir, where you can take a tranquil cruise with lunch on board or, if you're feeling more active, you can opt for a variety of water sports.
