Villa Rosa (300m2) is a house from the 19th century, restored with very good taste according to very modern patrons of living. The house has 2 floors and can accommodate until 10 persons. Outside you can enjoy the 500m2 garden with terrace area. From May 1 will have a swimming pool (5 m large, 1,30 deep). Photos not yet available.

The Costa de Prata/Silver Coast region
Costa da Prata region has many historical places of interest combining the mountainous landscape with sandy ocean and river beaches. Tomar and its surroundings combines culture and nature in a perfect way.
The climate can reach a little more extremes than the coast , but delightful in spring with the hot months being July and August but a good temperate climate most of the year, even having lunch on the terrace in December (Occaisionaly) Within an hours drive of the house there are such diverse places and countryside to see and experience.Coimbra the old University city (50 min),Tomar ,a delightful jewel of an ancient city from Templar times steeped in History, Fatima (30 min) the shrine ,Batalha (40) min Magnificent Gothic cathedral, the abondoned villages in the forested mountains near Lousa, The barragem (15min), 40 kilometres of man made lake with wonderful scenery, boating ,swimming ad deserted banks to picnic.
Horse riding (4 min) or just quiet roads winding through the countryside exuding peace and tranquillity, restaurants (from 5 min) serving a variety of local dishes for such modest prices, and on it goes.
Tomar / Soudos area
Soudos is a smal village of 250 inhabitants is situated in a important cultural area with nearby cities such as Tomar ( 9km van Soudos) with its very important monuments o.a. Convento de Cristo, the Templars head quarters, - world patrimony- , en Torres Novas ( 8 km) with one of the strategic Castels in the line of defence against the Moors. Also nearby are Batalha, , Ourém , Fátima, ( 15 tot 20 km). en Coimbra ( 80 km) can be easely reached.
Soudos lies on the limite of Serra de Aires a green protected zone with its beautiful mountain area. Soudos and all the area which surrounds it have a wonderful landscape and offers a lot of possibilities for walking. For those who like swimming there is at about 10 km the biggest lake of Portugal, Albufeira do Castelo de Bode.
It has a train station at 1km. and various bus connections to Tomar and Torres Novas. The beaches are at 70km. in Nazaré and Peniche.
It's very close to a historical area, at a distance of 20-30km. from Ourém, Batalha, Fátima, Alcobaca etc. and only 1 hours drive by car to Lisbon.
How to get there
Fly to Lisbon( or Oporto). Soudos , Tomar is just 120 Km from the Lisbon airport. Cheap flights available from Easyjet.co.uk to Lisbon and from other companies . Car hire available from different companies. From airport Lisbon/Lisboa: − Take the autoroute A1 to Porto − After approximately 93km. take exit Torres Novas (A23) − After 8km. take the exit Torres Novas− Golega, and on the second roundabout − Take direction Fatima or Ourém. Take route 349 to Tomar for approx. 8km. − Follow direction Soudos − Vila do Paco on the right, take right in Vila do Paco to Soudos − In Soudos ask for the pharmacy ( the house is just opposite the pharmacy) or call the owner for further directions on +351−919713949 By train from Lisbon/Lisboa: − Go to the station Santa Apolonia and take the train to ’Entroncamento’ (1.15h.). Make sure you take a high speed train to reduce the travel time− In Entroncamento take the taxi to Soudos (approx. 11 euros). You can take a train to Soudos, but then you have to walk 1km. with your luggage, so a taxi is often a better option.

Besides a big kitchen ( 100m2) it has different living rooms, 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Outside you can enjoy the 500m2 garden with terrace area. Villa Rosa it's situated in an easil y accessible, peaceful and privileged area (nature protected area from Serra de Aires and Serra de Tomar), only 8km, from the highway A23 and 12 km. from Castelo de Bode (swimming and nautical sports) between Torres Novas and Tomar.
Further details outdoors: The house has a good situation in the village, closer to a small grocery and to a cafe. Its large and wall surrounding garden area gives a lot of quietness and privacy. The small village is surrounded by paths which allow you very nice walks. One km away from the house one has different restaurants.
