Pri Macku was built in stone in 1919. Walls are arround 60 cm wide. It is a big house, ideal for families, owned by us for generations. Some furnishings, such as the wardrobe, beds, mirrors, are still from this period; also wood roof, steps, windows and stove. Some other antiques are on show in the house and grounds. Each of 4 bedrooms has it own character and style, as does the kitchen and living room. The pavilion is in the Renaissance style, for 12 persons, which gives a lot of possibilites for making mystic moments near the open fire from the large barbeque. The round swimming pool with a diameter of 6 m is like a mountain lake. We get sunlight bewteen 9 am and 6 pm - with shade coming down over the tranquil mountains.

The North Primorska region
Primorska is in the Western region of Slovenia. It is placed alongside the Italian east border. The Julian Alps are in the north alongside Austrian border. To the south lies the Adriatic sea in Golf of Trieste and Istria. North Primorska includes Julian Alps, with many rocky mountains - altitude from 1800 -2863 m. In the south there are many forest mountains - altitude 750-1300 m, which form beautiful valleys with clear rivers: Soca, Idrijca, Tolminka, Baca, Nadiza, Zadlascica, Trebusica. Paradise for fishermen on autohtonic trout, Trotta Marmorata. South of North Primorska the fine wine regionof Goriska brda and Vipavska dolina are formed, with excellent white and red wines. Weather and climate are stable in south North Primorska.
Tolmin / Zadlaz Zabce area
From the valley of the Zadlascica riviera there are many footpaths on the surrounding mountains, altitude 1800-2100 m, Migovec, Vrh nad Skrbino, Vogel, Globoko, Bogatin... There is also the beautiful walk along riverbed and canyons of Zadlascica river. Historical monuments are Dante's cave and Partizanska tehnika Krn. Natural monuments are Canjon of Tolminka with Devil bridge and Canyon of Zadlascica with monumental stone - Bear Head.
In the countryside are more settled walk tracks, in Most na Soci - archaeologic , near Idrijca river track is named upon writer Ciril Kosmac. On Mengore hill and Kolovrat mountain are historical monuments from 1.st WW, with restored forts, trenches, caverns..., from period 1915-1917, when were in all Soca valley front line. In Most na Soci there is an attractive touristic ship. In Kobarid there is a war museum. In Tolmin an ethnologic museum. On many hills are many attractive churches. Most beautiful, of St. Spirit, is in Javorca in Tolminka valley. Image of secession style.

How to get there
The house "Pri Macku" is in the Triglav National Park in the village of Zadlaz Zabce 17. From Tolmin, the main town of Soca Valley, the house "Pri Macku" is 6 km away.
The nearest airport is in Trieste (63 km), Ljubljana (105 km), Venice (184 km), Pula (205 km) and Wienn (445,5 km). Here it is necessary to rent a car. When you arrive in Tolmin, you can call the owner, and we will take you to the house "Pri Macku".

Further details indoors: Facilities in the kitchen are applicable in medium standards. High quality is a porcelain. Third shower is outdoor, near pool. Available are six sunbeds. In winter it is possible to make a fire with wood in the traditional big ceramic stove in living room.
Further details outdoors: Balcony is made of wood. In more flower gardens roses and different types of plants grow. The water in the swimming pool in July and August around is 23-26°C, depending of the weather. Wood for barbeque is available from the house. From the house are possibilities for the different walks in the mountains, near the river, in the canyons of the rivers Zadlascica and Tolminka, Partizanska tehnika Krn, Devil bridge, Dante's cave...
Further details
You will have complete privacy and will not be sharing with any other guests. Owner is 6 km away in Tolmin. Circulation of passangers are very rare, maybe 2-4 on week. Traffic of cars are 5-7 od day; camions 2-4 on month.
After signing a formal contract a renter pay 30% reservation deposit, in 10 days. Rest at arrive when takes key of the house.
Conditions
Big dogs can sleep in cellar. Smoking is welcome only in the old kitchen. Parking place for bicycles is in a small house nearby. This beautiful old house in the mountains is unfortuneately not suitable for wheelchairs. Yard, between house and pavilion, is metalled with river rubble.
