Situated in a small, terraced valley overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Reef Break Resort is the ideal getaway from the hustle & bustle of Tokyo. Located near Ohara in Chiba Prefecture, only 71 minutes from Tokyo Station, Reef Break Resort offers the opportunity to chill out in a beautiful Yurt situated in a glorious garden.
The Yurt is 24' in diameter and sleeps 8 people ( 2 double beds, one single bed and a 2 futons). A tent trailer with a large double bed is also available for larger groups or kids. The yurt has full kitchen facilities including a large counter, sink, fridge, gas stove for cooking etc.A shower and toilet are situated next to the yurt in separate buildings.
The Cabana has two large counter bars overlooking the ocean with a large sink. This is an ideal place to relax at night and have cold drink, listen to music or the sound of the waves below.
A large heated outdoor hot tub is situated right in front of the yurt and next to the Cabana. Soak in hot water (or cool if you wish) and let the stress of city life drain away.
A natural brick BBQ and picnic table are available for people who want to have a BBQ. The local market is walking distance with nice fish and meats. There are also several excellent restaurants within walking distance.
Massage and Acupuncture Therapy
A professional Massage and Acupuncture therapist is available for acupuncture or massage therapy (Oil Massage, Thai Massage )
A professional Yoga teacher can also be reserved ahead. The peaceful, relaxing environment of the yurt is an ideal setting for a Yoga session.

The Kanto region
Chiba's scenic Boso Peninsula is less than one hour from Tokyo. Most of the coastal towns, such as Ohara are fishing ports which boast outstanding seafood restaurants. Ohara's Hadaka Matsuri (Naked Man Festival is one of the most famous harvest festivals in Japan. The are is also well known for it's world class surfing and golf courses.
The area around Reef Break is famous for it's world class surfing beaches, golf courses, excellent hiking and cycling and horseback riding. There is an excellent tennis court only 5 minutes walk away. Ohara beach is less than 10 minutes away by car. Bikes are available for rental allowing people to access many excellent beaches, shops and restaurants in the area.
