Ravenswood Lodge holiday cottage is in a small village above the steeply wooded tributary valleys of the River Exe, an area of outstanding natural beauty in the Mid Devon, an area renowned for its picturesque thatched villages and not too distant coastlines. Opening this summer, the large 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom cottage can sleep 7 in 2 doubles and 1 twin. The cottage is attached to the end of the owners house, but it is not overlooked and affords alot of privacy. It has a large lounge with 2 sofas, log fire, separate dining room and newly fitted kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher. Two of the bedrooms are en suite and one has a four-poster bed.

The West Country / Devon region
Mid Devon is an area of outstanding natural beauty renowned for its picturesque thatched villages and lovely coastlines. There are so many places for long countryside walks or cycle to country pubs with real ales, cider and inglenook fireplaces.
Have ploughmen lunches, pasties and cream teas in the lovely sunny warm West Country. Explore the rugged North coasts with the surfing beaches or the English Riveira on the south coast with victorian seaside towns and sandy beaches.
Tiverton / Stoodleigh area
Stoodleigh is a small village with a club serving real ales and a pool table. Visit country pubs hidden away in the surrounding villages, serving good pub food and a Michelin starred pub not too far away. Excellent golf course at Tiverton, and at Padbrook Cullompton. National Trust properties. Fishing and boat trips on the Grand Western Canal. Fly fishing on the Exe and at several local fisheries. Horse riding in the locality. Water sports at Wimbleball reservoir.
How to get there
Come off the M5 Motorway at Jn 27, take the 3rd exit, the A361direction Barnstaple. At the next Roundabout take the 3rd exit, the A396 direction Bampton. After 2 miles take a left signposted Stoodleigh. Cross the river, and take the R signposted Stoodleigh, continue up the hill through the woods.

Further details indoors: There is a spare room with a single bed in it, that can be used for a child or a cot can be supplied in one of the double bedrooms if required. The bathroom next to the twin room has twin sinks and a shower cubicle.
Further details outdoors: The south facing french doors from the lounge lead onto a patio with BBQ, picnic table and chairs overlooking the large mature garden which is occasionally shared with the owners who live in the adjoining property.
The garden is quite level and child friendly with large round trampoline.

A welcome pack is provided on arrival.
The English and Dutch owners live in the property next door, and even though the garden is secluded it is occasionally used by the owners, who can help answer any questions.

Refundable breakages deposit of £250 required 6 weeks before arrival, to be refunded within two weeks after your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).
