The West Country region

With a very mild climate all year round North Devon is a wonderful location at any time of year.

Tiverton

Moorview lies in the heart of the Devon Coutryside, where the only noise on the raod is the occasional passing tractor or horse but still accessible to fast moving highways for ease of access to holiday commuter routes.

This picturesque village lies halfway between the rugged beauty of Exmoor and the atmospheric landscape of Dartmoor. There are plenty of scenic walks to be had in this area and horse-riding facilities are easy to find. 40 minutes away, you can find yourself on four miles of unspoilt beach in the seaside town of Exmouth, part of Devon's Jurassic Coast'. If you prefer things a little more cosmopolitan, the Cathedral city of Exeter is about 40 minutes away by car, offering fantastic shopping, alongside numerous bars and restaurants. Closer to Rackenford, you can find a variety of National Trust stately homes (Knightshayes, Killerton and Arlington Court) while other attractions include; Cothay Manor Gardens, the Kingsmead Centre and the historic site of Grimspound on Dartmoor.

We are also within easy reach of:

- The County town of Taunton in Somerset - 45 minutes by car.

- The North Devon Market town of Barnstaple - 25 minutes by car.

- The Mid Devon Market town of Tiverton - 15 minutes away by car.

- Supemarkets, pannier market (3 days a week) Tiverton Museum of Mid Devon Life, a modern Leisure Centre, as well as restaurants and pubs etc.

The South Devon town of Tavistock is another superb market town which needs to be seen, full of history and individual shops, with a fish n chip shop that comes well recommended. About 1 hours travel by car.

Many thanks for your kind comments John. We're so glad that you found the accommodation to your liking and were able to visit so many places of interest regardless of the weather. It was great to see guests making full use of the outdoor facilities at last. Both Norman and I wish you well for the rest of your holiday here in the UK.

Our first International guests, how exciting and thank you for those very warm and positive comments. We really enjoyed meeting you and your lovely toddling daughter whose behaviour may I say was impeccable. I think her future lies in the great outdoors since she already displays an interest in walking and the countryside. Thanks for bothering to tidy the rooms especially when you had such a tight schedule that day. I'm glad to hear you caught the ferry home safely. Do come back and see us again, perhaps by then I'll have updated the toys to match your daughter's age.

"Like home from home amazing!!!"

We went to devon as my daughter had a golf competition in tiverton so mooreview was situated perfectly and the surroundings were so peacefull and quiet it was amazing.
We would certainly go there again and again and eating breakfast in the conservatory each day looking out at the views was fantastic. Thanks gill and norman for your amazing kindness and hospitality.

Thank you so much for leaving the annexe clean and tidy. We really liked the changes you had made to the furniture in the conservatory, so much so we left it like it and all subsequent guests now use the table to enjoy their meals looking out over the garden just as you did. Happy us. (emoticons required here)

My partner and I had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful apartment. We had a lovely warm welcome, such a nice arrival. It was so peaceful and a great get away. Would recommend it for a peaceful get away from a busy life style.

Many thanks for the warm and positive comments, we enjoyed your company even if it was for a short stay. Please call again and thanks for leaving the annexe so tidy.

"Thank you for your hospitality."

We enjoyed our stay with you very much, and thank you for your hospitality during our stay. The accommodation was of a Very High Standard, and a lovely garden area, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Again Many Thanks

Our first guests of the season. Thanks for booking Moorview and livening up the neighbourhood, we very much enjoyed your company and taste in music. Long live Jean Michelle Jarre (a guess at the spelling!) It was lovely to have artists in our midsts.
