Explore the rugged landscapes of Dartmoor and Exmoor National Park or enjoy the shops and restaurants at the cathedral city of Exeter.
Enclosed by a gated access with private parking on a gravel area adjacent to an enclosed, lawned garden equipped with picnic benches and barbecue, visitors also have use of a paddock across the track, ideal for more enthusiastic ball games or exercising the dog first thing in the morning! Once over the threshold you will discover the charm of this historic building, lime rendered walls, vaulted ceilings and timber trusses evidence of its once former life. The versatile arrangement encompasses a light and airy, spacious open plan living area, the slate floors warmed by underfloor heating and a wood burning stove to ensure your complete comfort in cooler winter months. An attractive cream shaker kitchen with woodblock worktops is complimented by a full range of modern appliances included a gas range cooker. The lounge and dining area are attractively furnished and offer plenty of room to relax in comfort. Two bedrooms on the ground floor have use of a downstairs bathroom. Upstairs a mezzanine level equipped with TV is a useful space and can be used as a separate lounge or additional bedroom with double bed settee. This leads into an attractive master bedroom with kingsize bed and en-suite shower room.
Close by there are a number of pubs within a couple of miles, the Stag in at Rackenford within a mile and a half. The village also has a shop and post office. Parking for two cars or more is available immediately outside the barn.
