Home description
Miller’s House is one of a number of properties carefully converted from the former mill buildings and millworkers' homes to create a welcoming and spacious stone built holiday property. This Cornish cottage offers two bedrooms, fitted kitchen with dining area, and a sitting room with charming beamed ceilings, exposed stonework, lattice windows, and a wood burning stove. Situated in 20 acres of garden and woodland, with a mill stream trickling past the property, Miller’s House is an idyllic holiday haven.
The West Country / Cornwall region
Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Or could it be the cliff-top theatre at Mynack, working harbours, the world famous Eden project or St Michaels Mount, cut off from the mainland by a causeway. Or even the endless activities on offer; the Camel Cycling and Walking Trail, stunning coastal paths or the National Surf Centre at Newquay’s Fistral beach. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.
Tintagel area
Tintagel is dominated by the magnificent ruins of King Arthur’s Castle which lie on the cliffside outside the town. The sea, secluded coves and spectacular scenery dominate the area, and a number of superb beaches, including Trebarwith Strand, are easily reached for surfing, swimming and sunbathing. The town offers pubs and restaurants and the National Trust owned Old Post Office. Walkers will love the SW coast path which goes right through Tintagel then winds its way in both directions along the cliff tops through stunning countryside, before meandering down to the water's edge. The pretty village of Boscastle with its charming quay and village pubs is 2.5 miles north, and if you venture further afield you will find the surfing resort of Bude; the wild open spaces of Bodmin Moor; the incredible biospheres of the Eden Project; Padstow and its famous restaurants, and much more.
