Home description

Trevillick Cottage is a traditional cornish dwelling, fitted to a high standard enjoying delightful all round countryside views.

Trevillick is ideal for families and smaller groups, surfers and walkers. Close to local amenities including restaurants, shops, beaches, coastal path walks and near to many tourist attractions including Padstow, Rock, The Eden Project, there are many many more.

The ancient village of Tintagel, steeped in myth and legend is just a 10 minute walk via a footpath from the property. King Arthur's island is also only a 10 minute walk along the coast path, which is accessed 50 yards from the cottage.

The West Country / Cornwall region

North Cornwall is famed for its breathtaking coast line and its links with King Arthur. Tintagel (a short walk away) is steeped in myth and legend concerning King Arthur, indeed no visit to Tintagel is complete without a visit to King Arthur's island and King Arthur's hall. Many re-enactments take place during the summer in Tintagel.

A short drive away (2 mins) is the beach of Trebarwith Strand, ideal at low tide for surfing, bodyboarding and sandcastle building !

Also in close proximity are the villages and towns of Boscastle, Port Isaac (where Doc Martin is filmed), Port Quinn, Padstow, Rock, Wadebridge, Camelford (Camel Trail, Bodmin and Bodmin Moor.

Trevillick Cottage is on the outskirts of Tintagel, North Cornwall. The cottage is a drive of approximately 20 minutes from the main A395 at Davidstow. The cottage is reached as you approach Tintagel down a lane.

Bodmin Parkway Station is approximately 45 minutes from the cottage.

There are airports in Exeter and Newquay, but a car is recommended.

Trevillick cottage is set in a secluded spot at the end of a lane with sea views from the breakfast room and balcony and rolling hills behind it. The garden is landscaped with plenty of areas to sit and enjoy the peace yet the village of Tintagel is only a few minutes away.

The cottage has a boot room, for outside coats and shoes and a large butler sink. A large utility area, a downstairs shower and wc, a well fitted and equipped kitchen, a breakfast room (ideal for sitting and planning those days out). A dining room equipped for 6 to eat (with an aga), a games cupboard (full to the brim), a porch where you can read your book, a sitting room with woodburning stove.

Upstairs we have a large double room, a twin room and a bunk room. The bathroom and balcony are also accessed upstairs.

The garden comprises of a "secret garden" to the front of the property and a delightfully landscaped garden to the rear, including a fishpond, slate and stone seating and grass areas.

There is garden seating for 6 complete with a BBQ. Storage sheds for bikes / wetsuits / surfboards are all available to visitors.

There is a large washing line for all those wet clothes after a day at the beach !

Well-behaved dog(s) are allowed but sorry, no cats. (up to 2 dogs more on request).
Strictly no smoking.
£100 booking fee due to secure your booking, taken off the balance owing.
Balance to be paid in full due eight weeks before your stay.
There is an unfenced pond and sharp slate walls so please take care with small children.
