Welcome to Tinos, the island of the wind, the art, the culture and the Studios “Thea Thalassa - ("Sea facing View" )" located on the slope of Mount “Oros”.

Thea Thalassa is a 4 houses complex built in 2009 in the area "Porto" in the south west of the island, just 6,5 km from the port Tinos and 4 km from the wonderful beach of “Pachia ammos”.

Since you climb up the hill (the road is steep and not in a very good condition but driving is easy) and reach the studios, you will be compensated as you will feel being in a helicopter flying above the Cyclades. From. From the veranda- while enjoying a coffee or a drink,- you can see Delos, Rinia, Mykonos, Paros and Antiparos, Sifnos and Syros and other smaller islands, discovering new ways to enjoy your vacation

Studio MYKONOS is independent with its own terrace, and it is a comfortable loft with an open plan kitchen fully equipped,a living room and a double bed equipped with brand new e co- mattresses and pillows (International company COCO-MAT" sleep on nature"). With an extra bed the studio can host one more adult or child. The studio is built with a lot of care by Tinians builders and marble is decorated by the Tinian engraver Christos Santamouris.

Our guests can get as much privacy as they wish and make their own schedule .However , if they like private guiding , babysitting or a special dinner at their veranda so as to taste the tinian traditional cuisine ,we are ready to prepare everything and make your holidays outstanding

The Aegean Islands region

Tinos is one of the best kept secrets of the Cyclades. Many active villages, intense and unchanged traditional colour, charismatic landscape, fantastic beaches and easy access from Athens, (ports of Piraeus and Rafina) Tinos has gained a reputation as a selective destination for quality holidays away from the noisy crowds.

Tinos is one of the culturally richest islands of the Cyclades. Throughout the island there is a strong element of folklore, as well as museums, monuments and institutions. It is no coincidence that Tinos is the birthplace of many important artists, such as Chalepas Giannoulis, Nikolaos Gizis, George Vitalis, Nikiforos Lytras, Lazaros Sohos, Demetrios Filippotis and Fytali brothers.

On the island, Mount Tsiknias was believed to be the home of Aeolos, the god of the winds and he unleashed them to every direction.

The island still worshiped Poseidon, who was considered to be the protector god as he sent a flock of storks to kill the uncountable snakes all over the island. His wife Amphitrite was worshiped as a protector of women's fertility. To their honour they had built the temples of Poseidon and Amphitrite, ruins of which are in the archeological site of Kionia.

Dovecotes- the trademark of Tinos- are monuments of local art and are built mainly in the 18th and19th centuries. On the island there are over 600 dovecotes.
