Chalet Le Pavot offers its guests a wonderful opportunity to take their winter or summer break in a pretty and traditional alpine village situated in a beautiful tree lined valley yet still have immediate access to one of the world's best and famous ski areas – Espace Killy! Very rare in the Espace Killy ski area It represents a chance to rent an independent standalone self catered or catered Chalet that can accommodate two or possibly three families.

Chalet Le Pavot is a traditional but modern alpine chalet nestled in the south facing hills above the pretty and tranquil village of Tignes Les Brevières. The views from the Chalet across the village over the river to the ski slopes beyond are stunning in both winter and summer alike.

Conveniently located just 4 minutes walk from the shops and restaurants living is easy at Chalet Le Pavot whether you intend to eat in or spend a pleasant evening in one of Les Brevières’ excellent restaurants.

The Chalet is seven minutes on foot (there is also a free car park adjacent to the lifts) to the main bubble lift that whisks you quickly into the heart of the fantastic Espace Killy ski area consisting of 300 km of piste, 2 glaciers where summer skiing is avaialble and 96 ski lifts. The ski resorts of Val D'Isere, Villaroger, Sainte-Foy Tarentaise and La Plagne are also just a short drive away.

Les Brevières sits at an altitude of 1550 metres. Because the slopes into the village are north facing, you can ski all the way back to the village usually from November through to May. Due to its altitude (up to 3550 metres) the Tignes resort has a longer winter season than many of the other resorts in the Alps.

The Rhone / French Alps / Savoie region

This part of France is a fantastic area to visit winter or summer. There are three other ski resorts within 15 minutes drive of the Chalet. Villaroger which provides lift access into the vast three valleys complex, Val d'Isere a very cosmopolitan high quality resort with excellent shops and facilities for times when relaxing is the order of the day. Finally Sante Foy de Tarentaise is a stunning small resort with excellent ski fields.

The town of Bourg St Maurice is located approximately 20km from Les Brevieres and has all of the facilities you would expect of a modern town including a pleasant and historic town centre area.

Tignes / Les Brevieres area

Due to its altitude Tignes/Espace Killy has a very reliable snow record and is widely understood to be one of the most snow sure resorts in the French Alpes.

The Tignes resort is operated to a high standard, boldly and confidently with significant investments being made in the infrastructure. There is a ten year plan which sees continuous investment to upgrade the already modern lift system. There are 97 lifts including 2 high speed underground trains (funicular railways)

Oh and beginners ski free at tignes!!!

If you can bring yourself to miss an afternoon of skiing you may want to try something different, skidoo riding, ice diving, dog sledding, ice climbing, parascending, ski-joring (being pulled along by horses) , hang gliding, skating, snowshoeing, indoor tennis, heliskiing are all options.

L'Espace Killy is known for its incredible off-piste with good lift access. Also there is a half pipe, boardercross course, some great freeriding & the 1992 Olympics downhill course should you be feeling up for it.

Chalet Pavot is located close to the centre of Tignes Les Brevières with easy access to all of the local amenities. The village has existed since the 1700s and consists mainly of stone and wooden farmhouses which have been tastefully modernised to facilitate all of the necessary shops, restaurants and services. Les Brevières is the prettiest, most traditional of the villages that surround Espace Killy and maintains a quiet rustic charm.

The Chalet is located up a quiet private road to the left as you head into the village. It sits nestled into the hillside but still has magnificent views up and down the valley. There are clear views of the village to the East, the ski slopes to the south and the river which flows west.

Accommodation downstairs consists of a spacious kitchen just under 12m² appointed with everything you will need, a large lounge dining room of 35m² with a fire place.

There are two large basement rooms equipped with washing machine, Boot room, Sauna and shower rooms. Upstairs there are four double bedrooms. The master bedroom has a full king size double bed and a balcony overlooking the village and river.

Two further bedrooms have a double bed that can be split into singles and high quality fold down double bunks. Bedroom number four is fitted with adult size bunk beds. In total the Chalet can sleep up to 15 people.

Conditions

Tignes resort closes from early May to early July and from End August through to end November. During these times it may not be possible for the owner to provide linen, towels and cleaning of the Chalet.
