WE SKI AT TIGNES LATER THAN ANYONE ELSE, DUE TO THE HIGH ALTITUDE AND SNOW RECORD.
If you are looking for a spacious luxury apartment, with 3 proper bedrooms and six proper beds, right next door to a restaurant, ,in the second highest resort in the alps and second largest ski-able area in the world, then this is the place for you.
Our family apartment is very warm, situated quietly away from main revelers routes , yet only 5 minutes walk from all amenities.
One way and another we have been skiing since 1975, in Austria, Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy and Utah, and when the opportunity came in 1999 to buy this apartment off-plan, we jumped at the chance. Having been so impressed with the fantastic Espace Killy. With 10,000 hectares of off piste area, and 300km of marked runs, there is truly something for everyone in this enormous area. Val Claret is the highest village in Tignes at 2100m and is by far the prettiest.

The apartment is 75m², with 3 bedrooms, one of which has an ensuite shower room.
Two of the bedrooms are upstairs, together with the bathroom and loo.
Downstairs is the third bedroom, and a downstairs loo.
The kitchen, has a large fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, electric 4 plate hob with extractor and a combination microwave/forced air oven, which is new for 2015.
The sofa seats 3 comfortably, and pulls up and out to form a proper sofa bed, and is new for 2015.
The dining table seats 8 easily, and we have had 10 people eating around it before.
There is a flat screen satellite TV, with BBC 1&2 plus news 24. A selection of DVDs are provided. Dedicated free wifi Internet access is provided

Located close to the centre of Val Claret village in the resort of Tignes, our ski apartment offers the perfect setting for exploring the Espace Killy ski area. The ski apartment itself sits close to the bottom of the Grande Motte funicular lift up to the glacier at 3500m, making it a perfect setting for winter sport activities including skiing snowboarding and snowshoeing. There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the vast piste areas of Tignes and Val D'Isere and even bigger off piste areas. The other villages of Tignes: Le Lac, Le Lavrechet, les Boisses and Les Breviers are within easy reach either on skis, or using the free Tignes bus service. Adjacent to the ski apartment is a restauraunt.
The ski apartment has been finished to a high standard in a ski chalet style, over two floors.
We ask for a 30% deposit on booking, the rest 6 weeks before departure. We also ask for a 400 Euro, refundable breakages deposit.

Numerous wines are also grown in Savoie. The most famous are made of Gamay, Pinot Noir and Mondeuse grapes. Fruit production is the third largest component of agriculture in Savoie.
Tignes is the second highest Ski station in Europe at 2100m.
Espace Killy is the 2nd biggest ski area in the world.
There is a lot of sking to be done, a great lift system, and over 4000 hectares of off-piste area!
If you are looking for snow sure resorts to ski, Tignes is for you - you can even ski in the glacier in August! It was designed more for convenience than style but the surrounding scenery more than makes up for the town. There are three main areas: Val Claret is the closest to the Grand Motte and Le Lac and Lavachet on the other side of the lake are virtually interconnected now - an efficient shuttle bus links all three until midnight. Tignes is connected to Val D'Isere and together they make up the Espace Killy ski domain.
You get the maximimum time skiing in Tignes as funiculars speed up underneath the mountain and fast chairs carry a remarkable number of people at once! This is home to some of the most testing ski terrain in the world - steeps, moghuls and off piste! Beginner skiers are still catered for with a nursery area and a few easier blues to progress to. Intermediates have plenty to explore and will love the quality of the snow. Take a look at the piste map.
Apres ski is great fun in Tignes! Val Claret provides the biggest choice of bars, restaurants and nightclubs but the atmosphere is good in all the areas. Two of the liveliest bars can be found in Lavachet - TC's and Censored (aka Harry's Bar). There is plenty of good food on offer from traditional mountain fare and gourmet specialities to burgers! This is a resort that caters to mountain addicts year round so expect great service, a good infrastructure and plenty to do.
If the weather and snow reports look grim head to the swimming pool,climbing wall, indoor tennis courts, bowling alley, cinema or fitness centre - the choice is endless! Other activities include paragliding, snow-mobiles, snow-shoe nature walks, dog sledding and diving under the ice on the frozen lake!

Very comfortable apartment in purpose-built MGM complex. 3 bedrooms, 1 en
suite + separate bathroom. Balcony, ski locker on ground floor, space in
underground car park.
Everything you need in the complex: pool, jacuzzi, sauna + restaurant.
Easy walk to village centre (~100m).
Fantastic position in Val Claret, 200m from funicular: direct access to
glacier + Val d'Isère - bus every 5 min if you're feeling lazy, also
serves other parts of Tignes resort.
This is a very comfortable serviced apartment for 6 - it would accommodate
8 at a push - offering direct access to fantastic skiing & great
Thanks for the review, its worth noting that the bus stops right outside the apartment in both directions, so if you want to stop for a well deserved liquid refreshment at the bottom of one of the Pistes in another of the Tignes villages at the end of the day; you don't have to keep an eye on the timings of the last lifts, to get you back to the apartment, you can hop on the bus and hop off right outside the apartment.

"High Standard appartment , perfect for families or groups,great VFM"
We had visited Tignes several times before but the finish and location of this appartment put it well above the standard we had previously experienced.
Having a free underground carpark gave it a "hotel " feel. The huge bonus of unloading and loading the car from the carpark rather than roadside was brilliant.The ski lockers and separate entrance maintained a delux appearance. The next door hydro spa ( useful for aging limbs tired after a hard days ski) was a welcome luxury.
The appartment was very clean and modern .We used the en suite room, our children ( 8 and 10) the next door double room and our friends the double downstairs.
The balcony easily stored the 6 sledges! and still left room for a snooze on a chair!. The fully equiped kitchen meant we chose to eat in most days as we couldnt be bothered to go out. Laundry facilities also allowed us to travel home without the smell of ski socks. We drove to Tignes and easily found the appartment. Alastair gave us good tips of where to stay overnight on the way and also arranged a discount on ski hire for us.
Our children dont want to go back to the previous apartments! neither do we.
We will book again cant wait!

"Skiing when everyon else couldn[--]t"
We stayed at this apartment last week in January
We were 7 adults, and found the apartment to be very comfortable.
The location of the apartment block is ideal, with either a short walk to
the ski lifts or the free bus stops right outside and will drop you right
at the lifts (1 min ride)
The next door pool and saunas etc.. was well appreciated by all at the end
of a long day skiing.
Turns out that loads of other resorts were having problems with the piste, we had none. That's altitude for you!
I would highly recommend this apartment for all including families
