Castelleto Julia is a lovely newly renovated rustic house, with it's walled courtyard and huge wooden gates the feeling of one's own Castle is complete. The property is on 2 levels with kitchen, bathroom and living areas downstairs. Upstairs has 2 bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and large lounge and studio.
The house is ideal for 2 couple who wish to holiday together but not get under each others feet! All furnishings are new and of a high standard. The house is fully equipped with dishwashers, refrigerators, cookers/ovens, washing machine etc. a real home from home which makes your self catering holiday a pleasure.
Whether you want to join in with village life or to shut yourself inside and enjoy peace and quiet Castelleto Julia is the ideal place.
Fligths to Brescia airport (1 hour from Tignale) are very cheap with Ryan air and run on a daily basis. Mini bus, taxi, car hire or bus services are all available from the airport. If you choose to do without a car you will find everything you need within easy walking distance. The nearest supemarket is just 500 metres from the house and the main village just 5 minutes walk away.

The Lombardy / Lake Garda Area
Around the lake there are many ancient towns and places to visit, a drive around the lake is possible in a day stopping at various places to sightsee. If you don't want to drive there are regular ferry and car ferry services from different places on the Lake, Limone being one of the most serviced towns.
Verona is 11/2 hours drive, Venice 21/2 hours by road. The Italian railway service is a very good and cheap alternative to travel with regular trains departing from Desenzano station.
For eating out on the lake we recommend a visit to Gargnano, about 30 minutes from Tignale. There you will find the Mira Lago restaurant ideal for a special meal. The restaurant has an excellent high class kitchen and specialises in seafood, it is situated beside the water an has beautiful views over the lake towards Mote Baldo or Toscolano. The second place we recommend is the Pizzeria which sit on the other side of the little harbour in Gargnano and stands over the lake. It is a very pleasant place to sit and enjoy a meal during the summer months.
Toscolano beach is a sandy beach especially for tourists but, the local harbour of Tignale has it's own swimming areas and beaches which are much quieter and closer by. There is a minibus service from the village that runs twice daily during the summer only for tourists and locals who wish to go to the harbour.
In general the summer temperature reaches around 28 to 30 degrees.
Tignale area
Castelletto Julia is in the Hamlet of Olzano di Tignale a quaint Italian village which boast beautiful views to Lake Garda and the mountains of the National Park. everything is within easy walking distance so, once you have settled you can park your car and enjoy an easy walk into the village and sample the excellent restaurants and shops. Throughout the summer months regular events are held for tourists to enjoy. Whether it is the Medieval Market, local food and wine samplings or a music night there is always something happening. Even though the village is busy the position and style of Castelletto Julia means that you have peace and quiet.
The mountain walks are on the doorstep for those of you who are nature lovers or there is a local minibus service to the lake for swimming.
Whether you are looking for a peaceful break or would like to see the sights Tignale is a lovely base. Eating out can cost anything from 20euros for 2 for pizza and a carafe of wine or 3 course meal with a good bottle of wine for around 50euro's for 2.
Local shops stock everything you need are all only 5 minutes walk from the house. If you find you have too much to carry they will even deliver without cost! Tignale is altogether a very friendly place with lots of character and appeal to all ages. Home made Ice cream is available in most cafes, there is an excellent Pasticerria that produces delicious cakes and pastries daily and even a good old Gin & Tonic seems to taste wonderful!
