"Welcome to Paradise"

We have been coming to Tighnabruaich for 12 years now and around 9 of them have been spent at the gorgeous luxurious but still homely, Anchorage House. Our eldest is now 24 years old and our son and o… More

"Amazing views, peaceful location but also plenty to do and see in surrounding location."

We stayed here as a large family gathering and had one of Scotland's sunny summer weeks! Weather was lovely which made the week all the more enjoyable but should you experience "indoor" weather then the owners have put a lot of thought into providing entertainments, especially for younger guests in the form of DVD's, video games and board games.

The house has 3 good sized bedrooms and a smaller one too (although small one has best views!) Well stocked kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher which comes in handy with large groups. Living room has a great bay window looking onto the harbour which was my spot of choice for morning coffee. The house was nice and clean when we arrived and should you need to during your stay, there's a vacuum cleaner to tidy up.

The village itself has a well stocked local shop and 3 walkable local hotels providing food and a bar. In the local area there's a really nice beach you get to by car then walking, the Oystercatcher at Otter Ferry is worth a visit as is the new marina complex at Portavadie.

Being from Scotland, I'm glad we uncovered this part of the country as it is a hidden gem that we'd certainly return to.

Thank you so much for your review, we appreciate you taking the time, it's great to know we get things right.
