The Central Scotland/Strathclyde region
The community feel of a peninsula is more akin to an island. There is no real throughput of traffic. People visiting arrive specifically as their destination.
It's such a friendly place, with such amazing wild, scenic unspoilt areas. There is a micro climate that subsists due to the prevailing Gulf Stream from the South West. As a consequence the area has significantly more sunshine than Glasgow, and significantly less rain!
The apartment is located in Kames, an adjoining village to Tighnabruaich, on the Cowal peninsula in the Argyll and Bute region on the West coast of Scotland around 2 hours from Glasgow. The apartment is situated on the sea front on Shore Road, a very quiet Road which gets very little traffic as it only services the properties on the sea front.
In the villages are 2 excellent supermarkets, garage with petrol and workshop, 4 hotels, sailing school, Kyles shinty pitch, tennis courts, and 9 hole golf course with spectacular views over the Kyles of Bute.
