An Architect designed lodge with an unrivaled location next to the shore and a fabulous outlook across the Kyles to the Island of Bute. Carry Farm is an idyllic coastal setting for a tranquil and enjoyable break. Heron is fully equipped to make your stay at Carry Farm as comfortable as possible. Luxurious duvets and bedlinen in both the double and twin room ensure the perfect night sleep. Kitchen is fully equipped with oven, gas hob, dishwasher, microwave etc. The open plan living room and kitchen/diner has undisturbed views to the beach, all kept cosy with central heating. Fresh bathroom has an overhead shower with endless supplies of hot water.

The spacious balcony overlooking the Kyles of Bute has a gate useful for keeping in small children or dogs!

Heron is situated on a 60 acre coastal smallholding with friendly Hebridean sheep and Barney the donkey. Free range hens provide eggs for breakfast, and a tiny but perfectly formed tearoom and gallery sells textiles made on site from the Hebridean fleece and ceramics.

Sit on your balcony at night and enjoy the night sky sparkling as you will have never seen it. If you are lucky you could see the aurora borealis! Look out for passing dolphins, porpoises, basking sharks or minke whales - all seen off Carry beach. Otters, red deer, red squirrels and bats are all resident in this stunning yet accessible part of Scotland.

Nearby ferry links to Kintyre and the island of Bute make Carry Farm the ideal spot for exploring further afield.

Under a two hour drive from Glasgow, we are within reach for short breaks or longer holidays , relaxing amidst unspoilt, breath-taking scenery. The Kyles of Bute is very popular with sailors and sea kayakers. The sheltered coastal waters and stunning scenery combine to make the Kyles and Tighnabruaich an idyllic choice for the water enthusiast.

With ferry links to the Island of Bute and Kintyre Peninsula a stones throw away, we are perfectly located for exploring Argyll. If you would rather relax in the local area, you can enjoy Ostwald Bay our local sandy beach, sailing at world renown Tighnabruaich Sailing School, or walking in our ancient oak woodlands. Take a trip out onto the famous Kyles of Bute, fish on the sea or inland lochs, stunning golf course, play tennis with a stunning view, day trip on the Waverley paddle steamer and more.

As a small family business, we are very fortunate to live and work in such an inspiring land and sea scape, and invite you to share with us in the tranquility, abundant wildlife, secluded beaches and majestic mountains.
