A truly idyllic rural location on the banks of the river Sevre. Sumptuous accommodation combining the charm of an authentic historic mill with an outrageously modern interior decoration. You won't find anything like this elsewhere ! A unique holiday experience. Breakfast on your balcony with the view over the river. Relax on the deck right next to the water, to the sound of the waterwheel slowly turning and the river cascading over the centuries-old weir. A dip in the Jacuzzi with a glass or two, for those hot afternoons and warm evenings, or lovely walks along the river.

Just over a mile from the nearby village of Tiffauges for restaurants and amenities. In an area of attractive countryside with plenty of visits and holiday attractions nearby. One hour's drive takes you to the resort towns of the Vendee coast (Sables d'Olonne, St Gilles, St Jean de Monts) or to the chateaux and vineyards or the Loire valley.

A trip to the history theme park “Le Puy du Fou” is an unforgettable day out for all the family – not to be missed. In the south of the Vendee, there is also the famous “Green Venice” area, for a relaxing punt trip through the canals and waterways. The more adventurous will find plenty to keep them busy; go-karts, micro-lights, quad excursions, hot-air ballooning, tree adventure parks, paint-ball, as well as excellent surfing spots.

"Exceded expectations"

The 'Moulin de la Roche' is even more amazing than it looks in the photos. The setting is idyllic; next to the river which you can cross by the footbridge, surrounded by beautiful countryside. The sound of the water wheel is very relaxing. Our 2 sons each had their own rooms with en-suites and TVs. The top floor suite is huge- those white faces are actually chairs!! Marie the manageress is a delight and very helpful.
