A detached traditional stone croft house situated amidst stunning highland scenery in the picturesque hamlet of strath Halladale. This self catering property has recently undergone a superb renovation, whilst providing every modern convenience, it still retains most of the houses original charm and features. The welcoming wood lined entrance room is reminiscent of a traditional Victorian hunting lodge, complete with wood burning stove to warm your toes! The theme is continued throughout the house with solid oak floors,and a lovely lounge with original open fireplace surrounded by exceptionally deep leather sofas. The kitchen is furnished with bespoke Italian units, and a unique knotted elm breakfast bar/table, every modern kitchen utensil has been provided even a juicer. The bathroom is superbly finished,with under floor heated stone floor, large separate shower unit and extra large original claw foot roll top bath (for two). All tree of the bedrooms are individually and delightfully presented, warm and cozy with wood lined walls and wool carpets. It is a truly captivating house in a totally unspoilt area of highland scotland. There are wonderful walks and cycle rides direct from the door. The owner owns the surrounding crofting area,so visitors are welcome to wander through miles of open hill land with magnificent scenery and wild life, the property bounders the river Halladale, a renowned for its salmon fishing, which can be arranged. There are also numerous local fishing lochs close by,for sport or just relaxing with a picnic.however if you prefer the beach,Melvich is just a short car journey away and has one of the most spectacular on the north coast. In every crag and cranny of the coastline can be heard a whisper of the past,a long forgotten tale........and also the beginnings of a new adventure, this is The Highlands.
