The beautiful Thurlestone Sands is a 5-minute walk from the apartment and attracts both families and water sports enthusiasts. There are also some spectacular walks along the South Devon path, and the edge of Dartmoor is only a short drive away. French doors lead out from the kitchen on to the wonderfully warm roof terrace.

The Penthouse has a fully fitted kitchen with a granite worktop, 4 ring gas hob, electric oven, microwave, integrated fridge/freezer and an essential integrated dish washer! Plus a dining table to suit 8. And also a television.There are French doors that lead onto a very secluded and sheltered roof terrace that faces South West and is a real sun trap for the sunbathers amongst you! A highchair is also provided.
The Living/Dining Room Living/Dining Room
The large superbly finished open plan living area boasts a modern colour TV, DVD player and music centre. It has a large modern leather sofa and chairs and two slide out beds. Broadband internet access is available for those who wish to bring their personal computer with them - essential in this day and age! And sky tv.
The fantastic master bedroom has a double bed, built in wardrobes and drawers, a colour television, and a deluxe en-suite bathroom with a shower, hand basin, WC and shaver point. The second bedroom has two 3ft twin beds and fitted wardrobes and drawers. The third bedroom has two 2ft 6" beds. A chest of drawers is also provided.
Ample duvets, linen and pillows are supplied on all beds. Please bring your own beach towels. There are wooden floors in the bedrooms and living areas and tiles in the kitchen and bathrooms.

The property has a private garage for storing all your golfing equipment or surfing equipment should you be feeling more adventurous! There is also plenty of outside parking.
The apartment is set in 1.5 acres of beautiful gardens and has picnic tables, benches and barbecue. The sea can be reached within a short stroll and both of the beaches at Thurlestone are within an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Access to the apartment is by stairs.

Thurlestone is situated in the South Hams area of Devon, near the picturesque village of Salcombe and the main town of Kingsbridge.
Directions to Thurlestone Beach House:
From Kingsbridge take the A381 to Salcombe. After approximately 2 miles, turn right following signs for South Milton. Proceed through the village of South Milton following signs for Thurlestone Village and the Golf Club. After about 1.5 miles you will find The Thurlestone Beach apartments on the right hand side. (If you approach a sharp right hand bend at the Thurlestone Beach car park you have gone too far!)

We had high hopes of this apartment and were not disappointed - in fact the opposite. It is very tastefully furnished, spacious and has all mod cons and is in an idyllic spot. In a word luxurious. The sea views are tremendous - on a clear day you can see right out to the Eddystone Lighthouse. A short walk to beaches, golf course and tennis courts. A short drive to Thurlestone Village with it's shop, pub and hotel. Not to mention of course Salcombe is only 10 minutes away. We discovered so many walks straight out of the door - coastal paths and inland. All in all we had just a great time - can't wait to book this one again. It's a gem. |
