Review 1-1 of 1

4 Jan 2015

"Small and rustic"

Unfortunately, the only nice remarks is that the place was dry and didn't leak.. Which is actually a huge surprise. Firstly, the photos of the place make it look spacious, it was crowed with 3 o… More

I was very distressed to read this review. The cottage was pristine clean and warm as toast when the holiday makers arrived on the 22nd December, 2014. The electric heating was on and the open fire just needed lighting using the box of matches on the mantle piece. At no point during their stay at my property did the holiday makers complain to Imagine Ireland or myself.
Unfortunately when they went off touring for a few days they mistakenly turned the heating off, instead of leaving it on as set. The electric heating is included in the cost of the cottage. This meant they returned to a very cold cottage, especially when the outside temperature had been as low as -6c. Obviously it would take time for the cottage to warm up again in these conditions and we were lucky that none of the frozen pipes burst.
I was disappointed to learn that they had to stand outside the farmhouse to access Wi–Fi, as I had made the key to the farmhouse available so that they could sit inside and access the Wi-Fi. Many guests over the past year have not had any problems getting Wi-Fi in the cottage.
Any help or guidance was just a mere text away and I am really sorry this is the experience they have had at my property, as this is certainly not the norm.
Best wishes
