The Red House is Aldeburgh / Thopeness’s most prominent luxury Georgian sea front property with direct private access to the beach. Set in an elevated position directly overlooking the sea, the stunning sea views can not be beaten. A perfect holiday location, especially for those who enjoy beach holidays, long beach walks and the great outdoors.
As you enter the Red House the impressive entrance hallway gives you an instant feel of space and opulence, double doors open into the exquisite drawing room, with feature marble fireplace and SKY TV + DVD player. This in turn opens to the elegant dining room and spacious day room. All reception rooms have French doors which open onto the rear garden which has its own direct access onto Thorpeness beach via private central steps.
There is a large well fitted kitchen with breakfast area, separate utility room and doors leading through to the second sitting room/bedroom 7. The master bedroom, with en-suite bathroom, has stunning sea views as has the guest master bedroom which also has an adjoining twin family room, ideal for guests with children. There are a further double bedroom, 3 twin bedrooms and 2 lovely family bathrooms. Bedroom 7 / second sitting room has two single sofas that are easily converted to single beds by removing arm cushions. There is a high quality double sofa bed in the garden room.

The accommodation comprises: Private road leading to a gated entrance then into a sweeping drive.
Impressive entrance hallway with large double doors leading to the drawing room. Drawing room with luxurious sofas, marble feature fireplace, SKY TV with DVD player and French doors to the garden. Elegant dining room with dining table and seating, door to garden.
Well equipped kitchen/breakfast room with breakfast table and chairs, double oven and hob, American fridge freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster, double French doors to garden. Utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, ironing board and iron. Second sitting room / bedroom 7 with 2 sofas / single beds. Shower room with WC. Cloakroom. Day room with high quality double sofa bed, dining table and chairs, sun loungers and 3 sets of French doors leading to the exotic seaside lawns and garden.
Sweeping staircase to the first floor: Master bedroom with King sized bed, SKY TV and en-suite bathroom and sea views. King sized bedroom with adjoining twin family room and sea views from both rooms. Double bedroom with sea views, two twin bedrooms. Two family bathrooms with bath, overhead shower, WC and hand wash basins (one with separate WC).

Outside you will find a walled and gated front garden with off road secure private parking. Side access to the rearlawned exotic beach gardens which overlook the beach and sea. Private access to the beach via central steps straight down from the lawns. Glazed garden/summer house with decking, sun loungers and garden furniture. Jacuzzi in housing. Patio area with furniture, parasols and BBQ.

7 night breaks run Friday to Friday, 3 night breaks run Friday to Monday, 4 night breaks run Monday to Friday.
Polite Notice: Celebrations of special occassions for booked guests only. No Marquees, mobile discos, loud music or firework displays permitted. Outside caterers permitted with prior permission. No stag or hen parties allowed. Restrictions are due to the property being in a residential area. Thank you.

Suffolk Heritage Coast
Nearby places of interest to visit: ALDEBURGH; with its's musical connections to the composer Benjamin Britten and historic fishing town it is truly worth the walk of just a few kilometres along the beach south of The Red House. SOUTHWOLD; another famous cosmopolitan fishing town with many notable historic features. Recently the holiday destination of Gordon Brown and his family, the local Adnams brewery enjoyed a visit from Charles and Camilla!
SNAPE MALTINGS; just a few miles inland are the Maltings, a world famous concert hall again most closely associated with Benjamin Britten and Peter Pears. An eclectic mix of cafes, shops, art galleries and traditional public houses make this small village a great day out. Delightful river trips and picturesque walks start from the Maltings.
WOODBRIDGE; situated on the banks of the river Deben this historic market town offers great shopping, good restaurants and many options to while away a day. Good golf courses, tennis, sailing and indoor public swimming pool for those looking for some activity.
The Thorpeness area
The Red House is situated in one of the most exclusive locations on the Suffolk Heritage Coast. Next to the famous town of Aldeburgh with its many high quality restaurants and superb local fresh fish still sold from the quaint beach huts you will find the village of Thopeness. A model Victorian village of notoriety best known for its exclusive design and architecture built around the central Mere and boating lake. Thorpeness benefits from a golf club and separate country club with tennis courts, a fantastic traditional public house serving good food and charming tea rooms and ice cream parlour next to the Mere.
Just a few miles away is the unique Aldeburgh golf course and well known sailing club. You can walk to Aldeburgh town along the beach admiring the North Warren bird reserve to your right as you go. Other nearby places to visit include the Minsmere RSPB reserve, Southwold, Snape Maltings , Woodbridge and Orford Ness.
