Thong Nai Pan Noi beach has long been regarded as the jewel in the crown of Koh Phangan. Thong Nai Pan Noi and the neighbouring Thong Nai Pan Yai are twin coves in the North east of Koh Phangan and are the image of paradise with softly curved white sand bays. The Koh Phangan region
Koh Phangan is an island paradise in the Gulf of Thailand located about 100 km from the coast of Southern Thailand's Suratthani Province and about 15 km from the famous resort island of Koh Samui. Koh Phangan is the largest of Samui's neighbouring islands with an area of 168 square km. Over 70% of its total area is mountains and tropical forest. The lowlands are beaches and coconut fields. About 11150 people live on Koh Phangan. Some are Chinese, whose ancestors migrated from China more than hundred years ago and the main population lives in Thongsala Town. Standard Thai is used as the official language but the southern dialect is more widely spoken among the local people. English is understood in business circles and tourist areas. More than 95% of the population are Buddhist but there are few Muslims in Ban Kai village.

Thong Nai Pan area
Thong Nai Pan Noi and Thong Nai Pan Yai are twin coves that form a scenic double bay and are the most popular beaches in the east and sunrise side of the island. Both beaches are the image of paradise with softly curved white sand bays surrounded by mountains covered in rich tropical rain forest. .
It is possible to swim at both beaches all year round. There are also some decent waves for body surfing. Both beaches have a bohemian vibe and small villages with cool bars and restaurants. Early risers are treated with breath-taking sunrises.
Why Thong Nai Pan? For me, it has all the upsides of all the other beaches and not one single downside I can think of. You can find everything here: bars, parties, restaurants, perfect sand and much more, in less crowdie surrounding than that of Haad Rin and for lesser price.
Like Haad Rin, the oppositely located Thong Nai Pan is composed of two “Twin Beaches”. The quiet and full of space Thong Nai Pan Yai, is the little brother surrounded by perfect rocks for climbers. The big brother is Thong Nai Pan Noi; most bars and restaurants are located along its main street (which is its only street as well).
How to get there
Direct flight services connect Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Phuket, Hong Kong and Singapore to Samui island and then you can either travel by speed boat or ferry to Koh Phangan island.

Alternatively, we can arrange a pick up at Koh Samui Airport and transfer to a Speed Boat. The Speed boat will take you directly to Thong Nai Pan. A car will be ready to collect you on the beach to take you to the villa. 35 mins after leaving the Airport you will be in the villa. Total Cost for this Service is 12000 Thai Baht.

The Master Bedroom and Bedroom 2 have full en suites and Balconies with Fantastic views over Thong Nai Pan Bay. All Bedrooms have King Sized Beds.

Hi Ian! I just got home from the remainder of my trip (ended up going to Cambodia and Vietnam as well) so apologies for the delay in replying. We had an absolutely amazing time, thanks so much for accommodating us. The property is beautiful and you guys seriously went overboard on the finishing details, it’s incredible! All of us quite liked the location and the fact it was located a good distance from Hat Rin, as the full moon party was interesting but not somewhere I’d want to spend a lot of time. Ian and Nic were great as well, lots of info to give us on the island and were very accommodating with the pickup and drop offs. The property caretakers are very nice and she kept doing our laundry which was kind of funny because we couldn’t figure out how to say “hey it’s cool to take the night off” in thai.
Anyway, thanks again. You probably will be hearing from me at some point in the future when I return to Thailand. Morgan
