Home description
Two bedroomed spacious, very comfortable and welcoming apartment with 2 bedrooms (one double with en suite facilities and one twin room) plus one family bathroom. Also one fold-up bed available. Southeast facing balcony with views of the mountain. Views of Lac Leman from the main bedroom. 5 minute walk to main ski station, ski back to the apartment (conditions permitting). Access to Port du Soleil ski area. Walking/hiking/golf available nearby. 15 mins drive down to Evian les Bains where there is swimming either in Lac Leman or at the Lido in Evian, sailing and boat trips to Lausanne and Montreux. Boat trips available also to the medieval village of Yvoire.

The Rhone / French Alps / Haute-Savoie region
The Haute Savoie region of France is on the Eastern border of the country in the Alps. It is a prime ski location, and home to Europe’s tallest mountain, Mont Blanc. Ski resorts within about an hour's drive of Thollon are Chatel and Morzine. Chamonix, which hosted the first Winter Olympics, is also in the region.
Thollon les Memises area
The village of Thollon-les-Mémises lies in eastern France in the French Alps. It is a pretty village in a traditional Alpine style with stunning mountain and lake views come winter or summer. The village is known as the Balcony of the Léman, due to its location overlooking the beautiful Lake Geneva. The views from Thollon-les-Mémises have been mentioned in the Michelin Guide for their beauty. The village has a number of restaurants serving traditional Savoyard food. In winter, Thollon-les-Mémises is a great resort for beginners and intermediate skiers and has 50 kilometres of runs served by lifts as well as six kilometres of cross country trails. There are a number of ski hire shops and a ski school.
There are various activities available in the area during the summer such as hiking, white water rafting, swimming, horse-riding, golf and cycling and you can also catch the boat from Evian across Lac Leman to Lausanne for shopping and visiting the Olympic Museum. Other places of interest include the medieval village of Yvoire on the shore of Lac Leman and the castle of Chillon at Montreaux.

Further details indoors: In addition to the two bedrooms, there is also a folding bed which can be used for a fifth person. The apartment benefits from having two bathrooms (one en-suite). There is also a designated parking space available and a 'cave' for ski/boot storage. The balcony affords fantastic views of Le Memises. The living area is equipped with very a comfortable large sofa and chair, a home entertainment system plus a variety of DVDs. The fully equipped kitchen has a four ring hob, full oven, microwave, toaster, fridge with small freezer compartment, and a dishwasher. There is also a dining table and chairs. Please note that the apartment was originally designed for 8 people, however we believe comfort to be more important which is why it now sleeps 5!
